POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I write poetry as a hobby and an emotional release. But I do really love it and hope to do something with my writing one day.
The Guilty Affair
I have been wrong
And I have wronged,
With guilty pleasure
At your tempting words.
Such is the fire,
That melts my heart.
All the while
Tearing me apart.
Turning me to ash,
Sending my answer
Into the winds.
A journey away.
On a quest you shall never,
No, not ever step a foot,
Or find a map -
A treasure so well hidden.
Deep inside my chest.
And I have wronged,
With guilty pleasure
At your tempting words.
Such is the fire,
That melts my heart.
All the while
Tearing me apart.
Turning me to ash,
Sending my answer
Into the winds.
A journey away.
On a quest you shall never,
No, not ever step a foot,
Or find a map -
A treasure so well hidden.
Deep inside my chest.

The Girl Made of Mud
She stands in the muck,
Tiny and strong,
Covered in mud,
But there she will belong.
As the world passes by,
On the edge of her eye,
With her dirty hands reaching,
Suddenly thrust aside,
By all those dressed in white.
What a clean shiny world.
What a dejected face!
Her tears a disgrace!
To the mud she has placed.
What a smile...
So lovely is her dirt,
A purity, a joy,
A blessing to behold!
A warning to those
Who may get to close;
There is a girl in the mud,

The Shore
Standing stiff and statue cold
Gazing at the sea so openly bold,
That the sun shines over,
Even when clouds turn gray
And the blue goes away
Leaving only a silent moon,
Purple skies and diamond stars.
Never daring my feet to walk,
Dip in a single toe,
Into the wide unknown.
The sand my companion,
Mu secret resolve,
Grasped in hands so tiny,
So unbearably small.
So childlike before my eyes,
Moistened by fruitless tears
That have no gain.
When all is lost
And no boat comes my way, ...
Gazing at the sea so openly bold,
That the sun shines over,
Even when clouds turn gray
And the blue goes away
Leaving only a silent moon,

The Press of a Button
I don't like explosions
For they rip apart the day.
Sudden and loud,
With a bang -
Tearing across the warmth
Of the sun.
As if I pressed the button,
The explosion set off
Becomes a fault of mine.
A terrible loud
And aching cold
Dragged across my warm heart.
Boom.
Nothing's the same,
Through some days pass
All returns to mundane,
Familiarity.
The sun shines again,
Yet the pain remains.
Of words past,
And cold reminders,
That an explosion-
Ruined an otherwise
Great day.
For they rip apart the day.
Sudden and loud,
With a bang -
Tearing across the warmth
Of the sun.
As if I pressed the button,
The explosion set off
Becomes a fault of mine.
A terrible loud
And aching cold
Dragged across my warm heart.

Through some days pass
All returns to mundane,

Kingdoms Fall
Stand with me,
Against the powers that be,
Against our big King.
Watch him crumble
Under our unity!
Change with me!
So all can see,
We fixed the wrong
Mended the broken -
Standing on this side
For all history.
Be with me
Who we are,
Fist raised.
Hearts open.
Dawning a new age.
Kingdom come,
Kingdom fall,
Down with you,
Conformity thought
Conserve your views -
You'll crumble too.
Falling with our King.
Under our Unity.
Against the powers that be,
Against our big King.
Watch him crumble
Under our unity!
Change with me!
So all can see,
We fixed the wrong
Mended the broken -
Standing on this side

When all is Quiet
Waking in the morning,
Knowing no ones home.
No one to say hello,
Or to kiss my cheek good morn'.
Going through the day,
Where a look is something...
Something more,
And I know your laughing.
Coming home,
All is quiet,
But everyone is here.
How was your day my dear?
Good night.
Knowing no ones home.
No one to say hello,
Or to kiss my cheek good morn'.
Going through the day,
Where a look is something...
Something more,
And I know your laughing.
Coming home,
All is quiet,
But everyone is here.
How was your day my dear?
Good night.

Your Hand Over Pride
What is it about your hand?
That I refuse to take-
Even though I need the strength
Just to simply stand,
For none exists on my own.
Sinful pride, will you not let me fall?
Can I not wilt and bend,
Break,
To be brought up again,
By the gentle hand of another.
How pretty is my pride.
Until the petals wearily fall.
That I refuse to take-
Even though I need the strength
Just to simply stand,
For none exists on my own.
Sinful pride, will you not let me fall?
Can I not wilt and bend,
Break,
To be brought up again,
By the gentle hand of another.
How pretty is my pride.
Until the petals wearily fall.

Thrill of the Ride
Chest burning,
throbbing pain,
Heart thumping,
Bump... bump...
Through my chest.
Head beating,
The skies bluring,
Blue into the ground.
Eyes strained,
Knees shaking,
Legs weak,
Resolve breaking.
Wind pushing with hands too strong,
To hard and you fall,
To fast and you tumble,
Twist.
Flip.
Flying through the grit.
Only to stand up again,
Dragging feet through the sand,
Climbing up
For the thrill of a ride down again.

Heart thumping,
Bump... bump...
Through my chest.

As Seen on T.V.
This moving screen sets the scene,
Open wide the world for me.
Children dying
Mothers crying
Fathers out for blood.
The world is screaming,
Nations bleeding,
And none to understand.
Hand in hand we make out bed
To sleep forevermore.
No hope can come,
Cause Pandora's done
What's forbidden to do.
No help will hear,
A single plea
In a world as torn as ours.
Open wide the world for me.
Children dying
Mothers crying
Fathers out for blood.
The world is screaming,
Nations bleeding,
And none to understand.
Hand in hand we make out bed
To sleep forevermore.
No hope can come,
Cause Pandora's done
What's forbidden to do.
No help will hear,
A single plea
In a world as torn as ours.

Delicate Rose
Roses soft and delightful touch,
Gentle to caress and cherry with blush-
Little veins to carry through
All the needed necessity.
Protected by noble thorns,
Funny how easily torn
The soft petals of a rose are.
Brought crying to her knees-
Plucked and picked by admiring hands,
Struck dead.
Bleeding to the ground.
Only, not a sound
From poor little rose,
Whose delicate touch
Was to easily broke.
Gentle to caress and cherry with blush-
Little veins to carry through
All the needed necessity.
Protected by noble thorns,
Funny how easily torn
The soft petals of a rose are.
Brought crying to her knees-
Plucked and picked by admiring hands,
Struck dead.
Bleeding to the ground.

Shattered
We are young and do not know,
That Earth dies as we grow.
We don't know,
Of the beaten and cold.
How something can take
A little breath from this place.
We are young and can't care
For the desease and despare,
Which our eyes don't see
Our ears don't hear.
We don't know.
It is a shame,
We don't know,
Children young as we
In blissful mind at ease,
Until the bomb has dropped.
Shattering the peace.
That Earth dies as we grow.
We don't know,
Of the beaten and cold.
How something can take
A little breath from this place.
We are young and can't care
For the desease and despare,
Which our eyes don't see
Our ears don't hear.

For You to Keep
Because the strings of fate,
May one day send us our ways
Along to silent dreams,
Without a word of or single plea,
I'll leave you with my love.
Stranger I love you,
I do not know you,
But I love you all the same.
Family I'll hold you,
Today
The same as yesterday.
Friends you're with me,
Forgotten and lost,
Here in my heart you rest.
Because a string was cut,
It seems the day is done.
All I leave for you,
Is my eternal love.
May one day send us our ways
Along to silent dreams,
Without a word of or single plea,
I'll leave you with my love.
Stranger I love you,
I do not know you,
But I love you all the same.
Family I'll hold you,
