POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Lives Left Tangled
Scribbling on paper stars, rising
Lost in the unbroken moment of a strange new clarity
when the wind whispers "no regrets"
to a dying sun that was never listening
Hearts beating in such an err of reason
Bitter sweet
Like children doing Monet
such a beautiful disaster
It's days like this I remember
how he unravled me
Cuz he knew pulling at my threads
was the only way for me to save myself
He wrote his name across my lines
& back again

Drunk Off A Meditative Verse
He found me tethered in withdrawls from sugar pill loves
& left me to drown in the sanctum of his eyes
Placid pools of silent green
( He always liked to color outside of my lines )

In Between Starbursts & Sunrise
I stumble in the presence of his grace
( It's nevercold here )
He shaped me of black roses blooming
a blue opal energy
& bits of an organic smile, shy
laced with a "You know I hold my heart in your eyes" look
( You might be surprisedif when you look inside to find yourselfinstead yousee me )
We sat with our feet hanging of the edge of reason
( If he told me to jump, that he would catch me, I would have )
Innocence,
like wide eyed children in the midst of our summer
left drowning in the Arizona...

The Architecture Of Emotion
Shifting mercury oceans
of breathless beginnings
He saw me under d(r)ying edges of myself, frayed
Rising
I sync with the spectral pattern
of a glossed over town
& my hands smell of old again
Antique shops & open spaces closing in
Beneath
I find rapture in his breath
A haven wrapped
& hidden
waiting in his arms
of breathless beginnings
He saw me under d(r)ying edges of myself, frayed
Rising
I sync with the spectral pattern
of a glossed over town
& my hands smell of old again

Fringe
Dancing in the down frequencies of shadows
Making the stars crash
just because we could
You walked right through me
( Shake.. it.. off.. )
We wrote our own script
Set in slow motion
cause that's all we knew
Deconstructing the preconceived notions of how love should be
( I can still feel you on my finger's tips.. )
When the road beckons
calling to carve your own path
( Dare to risk, to dream..)
Lost in that feeling
I'll wait for you
Making the stars crash
just because we could
You walked right through me
( Shake.. it.. off.. )
We wrote our own script
Set in slow motion
cause that's all we knew
Deconstructing the preconceived notions of how love should be

I found myself today
Gasping
in the bloody wreckage of my mind
I wanted to fade away
with the legends of poetry
(lost) in the dying art
Grinding ink
& the pen pricks..
White walls closing in again
in dark eyes
& fading (reflect)ions

Gasping
in the bloody wreckage of my mind
I wanted to fade away

In.nocence
I stood there
gasping
in the midst of you
Painting my heart
a marble canvas in pieces
Strewn
& splattered
cross your bleeding walls
Shake(i)n(g)
I see you in the vanishing sun
that sleeps within its self
& under riddles
& the dying promises of forever
.fractured.
& lost
in faded love & such things
& I beg
to set aside if nothing but a dream
In breaths of something so raw
so
seraphic
that I keep forgetting to remind myself
*just
breathe*
gasping
in the midst of you
Painting my heart
a marble canvas in pieces
Strewn
& splattered
cross your bleeding walls

Punch Drunk w/Rose Colored Glasses
Stumbling in realms of blue
I wake with calm regret
Caught in the gravity of your world
Til it stopped spinning around me..
Remember me the way I drown in your arms
before I lost myself in your kiss
& tasted heaven
dying in your tears
I wake with calm regret
Caught in the gravity of your world
Til it stopped spinning around me..
Remember me the way I drown in your arms
before I lost myself in your kiss
& tasted heaven
dying in your tears

Logic Of Essence
He still feels like a dream
& when the reveries wake me
( screaming )
I find myself wondering
was he ever really there..
Here I am
down on my knees again
For this beautifully flawed
perfectionist of a man
Holding the pieces of me in his hands
Trembling
His soul, sweet as a Shakespearean sonnet
carving into my heart this haunting melody
of the night I wrote love's definition
Painting the stars in his eyes
& there in the shadows his energy lingered
as if he could shatter starlight with a single smile

Raw Sugar
The sun streaks on dirty windshields
Caught up in you
A saffron tinted haze
Foggy reflections of painted paths
set in crumbling stones
Who knew empathy was a physical pain..
( Inside, he shakes me )

Foggy reflections of painted paths
set in crumbling stones
Who knew empathy was a physical pain..

Drowning In Burgandy
He smiles like summer
& scarlet skies
where the shadows whisper of my heart
Where blooming echos
are still left gasping
& I'm scratching through the surface
Beneath, as I lay,
entangled & smiling
in a darker hue of him
love
undresses me
& scarlet skies
where the shadows whisper of my heart
Where blooming echos
are still left gasping
& I'm scratching through the surface
Beneath, as I lay,
entangled & smiling
in a darker hue of him
love
undresses me

His Hands.. My Body.. In A Mozart D Minor
I found myself tying my tongue in knots
just to keep my heart in the back of my throat
That week the world was mine
even with one foot off the edge
My future was written in hazel eyes
as if I had been painted in his smile
my image dancing in reflective tints of green
I drank him in like a whiskey shot
( just
one
more )
& left my love scribbled on his mirror
in a black eyeliner overdose
just to keep my heart in the back of my throat
That week the world was mine
even with one foot off the edge
My future was written in hazel eyes
as if I had been painted in his smile
my image dancing in reflective tints of green
I drank him in like a whiskey shot
