Godly vs. Luciferous
Which path to walk?
Whose footsteps to follow?
Human or cloven?
The thousand eyed whale
Roaring to and from infinity
Only understandable to us,
His apes, through his son's teachings.
Or, the light bearer,
The archetypal Prometheus.
The wayward prodigal
Does he hope to return home?
Is the way always left or right?
Cleft in two?
Is it straightforward?
Blind turns, dead ends, proliferate.
So who to follow?
Who to chose?
Or is it predetermined?
Are we free?

Universal Entropy
The universe tends towards entropy.
Or so they say.
After the big bang it was at its most chaotic.
Why didn't it stay that way?
How did it organise if it tends towards entropy?
We are told it was cooling molecules
And gravity exerting it's pull.
We have carbon, hydrogen, helium,
Silicon, lead, iron,
Chlorophyll, RNA, DNA.
From the void and
The choas of the Big Bang.
I'm not advocating for the invention of deities.
I'm perplexed as to how
Countless atoms became organized
If entropy is the...
Or so they say.
After the big bang it was at its most chaotic.
Why didn't it stay that way?
How did it organise if it tends towards entropy?

Be careful what you wish for,
Transformation is rarely smooth.
You may be in the best place.
Snug, in your groove.
You poke out your head
To take a look around,
With eyes swivelling
Opportunities abound.
All is bright and shiny,
Different and new.
It can be exciting
But you don't have a clue
What will happen next
Good or bad or ugly.
So get back in your rut
Where you fit so snuggly

Pen and Ink
Dip into my ink
We write together
Strokes, letters, lines,
Total collaboration
Telling tales but
From what perspective
We cannot tell.
Short, sometimes not
Twisted, sometimes straightforward.
Scratching, sometimes smooth.
Verse follows verse
Time writes lines on our bodies
Etched. Indelible as tattoos
Thin, dry paper absorbs wet ink.
We write together
