POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
Another half awake hopeful.
My Eternal Face
Wait wait wait
I’m coming to
A collection of shells in my pocket
I washed up on shore today
And these grains of sand are me
And these waves crash as they caress
Destroy what they create
I am the sea
But who rests their weary bones
Lay to rest in me
Soak in the sins and hold out your hand
I’ll take from you, but take what I have
Vibrant clouds that won’t give chase
All facets a natural face
To what is to be and has been before
All features of the same eternal soul
And I am but the sea
Another face in the sea...
I’m coming to
A collection of shells in my pocket
I washed up on shore today
And these grains of sand are me
And these waves crash as they caress
Destroy what they create
I am the sea
But who rests their weary bones
Lay to rest in me
Soak in the sins and hold out your hand
I’ll take from you, but take what I have
Vibrant clouds that won’t give chase
All facets a natural face
To what is to be and has been before
All features of the same eternal soul
And I am but the sea
Another face in the sea...

The Great Star Traveller
You took off from the earth, a beautiful silhouette
And I followed
Led through the greatest treasures
My most secret thoughts
And without a word I knew
And without a word
I knew
Beams across nebulas
Darting from my fingertips
And you glow so bright tonight
That I can't imagine you anywhere else but the sky
All these moments will be lost to time
But throughout time
These moments were always mine
No strangers to a motionless breeze
Bottles of dust, and on this endless flight
My only wish is that one day
I will be...
And I followed

My most secret thoughts
And without a word I knew
And without a word

Darting from my fingertips
And you glow so bright tonight

Rest the Wings of Circumstance
These are the eyes of disarray
And yes I can feel it
Time hasn’t fazed your youthful stare
The gentle beauty of a passed down last name
You pull it off on your way to school
You graduated early, but you can’t stand
Can’t stand to play the fool
And I know it’s true
You’ve been less than defensive
When time gets to you
But hold me to this moment, a moment
Lay with me in my invincible space
Cure my sight, return me to the ways
In which your love remained
Untouched, and unchained
And I’ll share my time...
And yes I can feel it

We All Want
When it happens
It won’t never matter to me
I’ll create another instinctual cavern
And harbor the liars, the cheats,
The broken hands,
Of course, if it’s not the truth,
If you have to say it is,
Then I want to know who really lives
Is it you, when all the reality sunk in
Or me, in blissful ignorance
And blissful sin?
Within your soul,
They made a million holes
To drain your self from you
But I’ll patch them up
Like a journey into the human psyche
A miniature handyman on your
Giant personality...
It won’t never matter to me
I’ll create another instinctual cavern
And harbor the liars, the cheats,
The broken hands,
Of course, if it’s not the truth,
If you have to say it is,
Then I want to know who really lives
Is it you, when all the reality sunk in

Tchotchke
You are the island
That saves me from myself.
You take the darkest of my days
And Turn them into lucid dreams
Won’t you stay here inside?
You’ll always be free.
And my excursions in your heart
Might come without gold or silver
But I’ll ask you for a kiss
You’ll laugh, say it’s mine
You’re not just a tchotchke
And I thought you should know
If the world is just liquid
Then I know where to go.
That saves me from myself.
You take the darkest of my days
And Turn them into lucid dreams
Won’t you stay here inside?
You’ll always be free.
And my excursions in your heart
Might come without gold or silver
But I’ll ask you for a kiss
You’ll laugh, say it’s mine
You’re not just a tchotchke
And I thought you should know
If the world is just liquid
Then I know where to go.

Hope is like
A piece of sky
She said to me
Just in reach
But out of view
You just slide your hand
Into the space
Between sun and stars
Feel a warmth so new and fresh
Just like a floodlight on your heart
But truth be told
Hopes not without price
And you can feel it eat your soul
Piece by piece
As you wait for a sign
That says release
And once it's gone
A lost love and more
All that's left is whiskey and cigarette and me in your arms
And you can realize
That life isn't quite the circus you wanted it to be.

You just slide your hand
Into the space
Between sun and stars
Feel a warmth so new and fresh
Just like a floodlight on your heart

I'm the Cat
I could imagine the brushing away of your skin,
Sliding off you like a wasteful film,
As an emotional scientist,
I pick you apart
And soak in your sins,
And
Like all the days before,
You are a beautiful spinning top
And, again, I am the useless prop,
A byproduct of someone else’s thought,
And I discover the hard way
You can never be bought.
Sliding off you like a wasteful film,
As an emotional scientist,
I pick you apart
And soak in your sins,
And
Like all the days before,
You are a beautiful spinning top
And, again, I am the useless prop,
A byproduct of someone else’s thought,
And I discover the hard way
You can never be bought.
