Just the other day
in the corner of my eye
I saw something passing
't was time flying by

I don't know what happened
I sure don't know why
but it made me think back
to the days gone by

Memories popped up
of the life that I had
some sweet some happy
some pain and regret

But one thing will make me
look forward in life
the moments with you
my beautiful wife

Our undying love
stops time in it's track
the future is ours
No need to look back

Watch the rose
See how it grows
Reaching out to be seen
We stand in awe
Of what we saw
What we consider the queen

Now watch the weed
See it proceed
Through gardens unadmired
Without a doubt
We yank it out
Or tread on it uninspired

Just like fools
We play by rules
Accepting no deviation
Just fit the bill
Or sure we will
Curse you with damnation

Oh tell me why
Are we too shy
To embrace other convictions
