Time withers away, seasons have flown
Thy ripples of vague emotions linger on
Fading memories found left on their own
Safely sheltered where they now belong
Desperate feelings nestle, tucked away
Spawning callous apathy along the way
Forever invading, guiding one's reprieve
Shielded from what they cannot believe
Lingering apprehensions impose their toll
Receding, these subdued passions mourn
Feel the solitude from which they are born
Hushed silences dwindle across this soul

Frayed Souls
Meek pawns of history fear only to dare
Subservient, failures of noble pretences
Discontent seeps into the misled who err
Trivial burdens alleviate one's lost senses
Subtle endeavours glide over troubled skies
As despair looms beyond a valley of tragedy
It rises from the remnants of its own demise
A callous void etched in the stones of apathy
See the adamant fall, condemned to regress
Chiseled into the pale silence of nothingness

This heritage bequeathed, I now surmise
Strewn with the taut inhibitors I despise
At the helm of disbelief, cynicism weeps
A myriad of insights bestows pretence
Larded with acumen of great potence
Heeding nothing as uneasiness sleeps
Left to witness a canvass of contemplation
Pondering the ways of suspicious confines
So eager to percolate within strict outlines

Dwindling darkness at the dusk of silence
Eternally dormant in the shadows of light
Casting a shade upon the heart of unrest
Discomfort retreats to a den of obscurity
Feeding torment, as it fades into the void
Mourning the fate of what shall never be
As the passing of severed lives comes to an end
Sparing but the gloom of much sorrow and fear
It surrenders to the embrace of its own torture
For a restless soul inhales the night once more

For it bears our nature's offspring
The coming of a new dawn casts mystery
It fades away with but a stroke of infinity
Continuity draws closure from immortality
Under the mantle of lethargic stillness
Lies the riddle to what is meaningless
It shuns the anger, besets the madness
The nameless awaken a sleeping woundchild
Succession survives itself, a cycle gone astray
