Sea of Sorrows
These deep dark sorrows come in waves
So hard to stay afloat
They drag me under day by day
Keep praying for a boat
I struggle for one breath of air
As I begin to sink
The only emotion left is despair
As my mind ceases to think
But then I wake upon the sand
So thankful to be alive
Until I see I'm alone in this land
Now all I can do is survive

The Cloud
The distant bright crimson horizons
Fade away as the thick smoke rises
Soon after, the red moon follows
Through the dark cloud of no tomorrow
Now there's nothing to lose, and nothing to gain
I watch blood and fire fall like summer rain
Explosions and screams are the last things I hear
While the cloud consumes all, both far and near

Backs to the Sun
With their backs to the sun
They ask "why" and "where"
Focused on having fun
They refuse to even care
I tell them "turn around,
It's closer than you think"
But they continue to look down
Without a single blink
I wonder to myself alone
If all hope isn't lost
Then my mind goes to the throne
And that magnificent cross

Darkness Dwellers
Those dwelling in darkness
Flee further from the light
They'd rather be heartless
Sadly given up the fight
Fearing the truth
Which ignites their cold lies
They've sold their youth
For refusing to cut ties

Forward I Go
Melting into this monotonous moment
The faded clock twists into oblivion
Sweet distortion echos, so very potent
As I ponder my made decision
Choices tangle into my deep dark fate
As I deeply dwell on these many past mistakes
I wander through the stretched halls of my hollow mind
Searching for sweet serenity, which I can never find
No doors in sight
I continue this plight
Forward I go
Towards the bright light
