Immortal
Broken.
Hated.
Lusted after.
We were the demons,
we graced the darkened earth.
I saw the clouds above,
lightning stroke down at my feet.
I could not die.
No blade could cut me,
no bullet could puncture my skin,
no poison could pass my lips.
No love could break my heart.
You were the light,
I could not help but cower.
You were different,
a pure soul,
a good heart,
a human with loving eyes.
I knew better than to trust you.
I tried to run,
to hide,
to dissappear.
You were everywhere.
Every eye that...

My Angel
I used to cower into the night,
run from the dark.
You were my light;
my one true love.
My angel.
I gave my heart to you,
you took my hands in yours.
We seemed to fly above the rest.
Just a little higher,
a little deeper,
a little darker.
Night fell around us,
the hush would fall.
We would lock our eyes,
and make promises we'd never keep.
Everything mattered,
nothing made sense.
We were already lost.
You were slowing falling.
I was slowly dying.
Everything was failing us.
Our promises shattered,

Once...
There is a tale to be told,
of a girl with nothing left.
She had lost it all to a wicked life
of anguish,
guilt,
and pain.
She was alone,
a broken child.
She walked on shards of glass,
she felt her skin be punctured.
She never once screamed out.
She lost too much to feel anything.
Numbly she lived.
No prince came to her aid.
No knight in shining armor.
Gone were her childish fantasies,
replaced with growing doubt,
but she kept walking
...

As We Fall
So darkly dead,
and not from this world,
the tears they fall,
and catch on the memories of the forgotten,
who we failed to save,
and we feel no pain.
They do,
and those that fall
from the highest places,
they feel the pain.
They feel our loss more than we.
There are those who suffer,
those who move on,
and then there is us.
We have nothing;
no loss,
no gain,
and the miracles finally cease,
as we thought they never would.
And...
and not from this world,
the tears they fall,

I used to cry my heart out,
let the tears fall.
I would forget your call.
I let myself slip away.

and scarred from my pain.
You found me going insane.
You took me under your wing.

She walks the walk I run from,
she cries the tears I hide from.
She allows herself to come undone,
she ignores the crimes I have done.
Who is she?
She lets the light shine where I shade it,

the traitors,
the goners,
the haters.
We are the faithless,
the graceless,
the useless,
the faceless.
We are the broken,
the outspoken,
the lost token,
the loose end.
We are also the dreamers,
the seers,
the believers,
the happily-ever-afters.
The thinkers,
the solvers,
the hopers,
the doers.
We are what we are.
Change nothing and we'll stay.
We bear each scar.
We are the people of today.

This is my world; my life.
This is where I will stand.
This is the best of strife.
This is the worst I can withstand.
I live in a dreary grey haze,
which covers my heart in lies.
I live in a delirious daze,
in which my loved ones die.

The Dark Masquerade
Is there no sweeter revenge,
than to love again and again?
I think this night shall end,
with something I can never mend.
Do you think I feel no pain,
no sorrow, always insane.
Do you think I feel no anger,
no hatred that reins eternal.
I think this night shall end,
with something I can never mend.
A stolen soul, a broken heart,
through which you had in the start.
And this is my place to hide,
