Purple Velvet
This world is a testament to power
A monster of energy
Devouring consciousness
Time and time again
He was born with the sun on his hair
And waves in his eyes
Oh good young nymph
Help me remember his name
In case he rides home tonight
Hair to Mycenaean kings
His mother’s shrine
Is now lost in the mist
Memphis has drowned in the mud
And his tale is no more sung
He’s wrapped in velvet
Purple velvet
As he floats down
Down the river
There’s now gold on his eyelids ...

Out Of Cigarettes
Your hair is soaking wet
As things got better
"Trouble" prints in letracet
It comes in colors all around
You point your head towards the ground
As you have your finger raised
And you're looking for a way to get back home
The icing on the cake comes when you find
That you're out of cigarettes
But baby, please don't cry
When life is such a mess
Bad dream aftertaste
You grab your sheets as you wake up
You have your suitcase packed
But there's no plan at hand
Trouble smiles again ...
As things got better

Candy Bar
They met each other at this place called the Candy Bar
He was wearing a purple t-shirt, she was wearing a leather jacker.
She had a gray beanie with cat ears on
They took the last train home, as they talked about music
And the stars shines like rhinestones in the night

They woke up in velvet mornings
Breakfast and movies
Night clubs and rubies
And time well spent in bed
But as you know, nothing ever lasts forever
Indifferent circumstances drew near
And soon came, change
God damn goodbyes
They're all we get...

We had too much of that stuff

Ancient Muse
Give us an hour for magic
We of the purple legion
We of the starry night
And velvet hour
We of statyr pleasures' breed
We of the sun and moon
Give us a creed
To believe

A Theater was built in the midst
Where they used to play on the green
And the gates of this Theater were shut
