Her magic hands
Play the drum all night
Her special friends
Heal their pain
And time passes by
Her magic mind
Echoes in the night
Her weary eyes
Spring the rain
And time passes by
Oh, Queen Navajo
Take us to the city
The place of our birth
So that we may retire
To our tents and dreams
It takes time
Nothing but time

Of Flesh And Blood
Saw you, in a way
And before I figured out
Life lines were drawn
Not to be erased
You opened up your eyes
Grey and green, piercing shards
Jeweled water and the night sky
Once two, became one
You opened up your mouth
Touched your lips to mine
Made a kiss to make death jealous
Your words have branded my mind
Commanding and undisturbed
Every breath an art
For a swift moment
Before our lips met again
Still, I hold the memory
Wrapped as if a ring
Our love of flesh and blood ...
And before I figured out
Life lines were drawn

Who Scared You?
You're calling out for me
When I know I must stay away
We can both wish it was different
But that will do us no good
Don't come looking for monsters
or invoke ghosts of the past
Don't try to find me in places we used to go
Because I won't be there
But in spite of how much I know I should stay away
I'd come find you, if I knew you were in danger

For The Weary Hitchhiker
Long hot days of an endless summer
Burning dead sun in the valley below
We tangled our dreams during our morning slumber
In an old house by the beach, untouched by the glow
The small road by the country side is silent
A few passing cars make their hissing sound
The FM radio is softly weeping
Pulling cool blankets over our unconsciousness
Awake
There's a scary overfriendly figure, you've brought to bed
A stranger, smiling, hiding under the warm bed sheets
You cannot remember when it was
Time slows down before you...

Liquid Night
Night clubs, movies,
neon signs and rubies,
The stars shined like rhinestones in the sky.
Smooth laughter, cheap perfume
soft lies, electric bloom,
cigarette smoke filled up the room.

across the border
He left the chaos and disorder
and drifted away in the liquid night.

Head spinning like a roller-coaster.
Darkness surrounded him as he sat down

"Ladies and gentlemen we are about to begin."

and not some tale of ancient lore."

It was early in the morning, she was lying on the floor motionless with an expression of terror. At first I thought it was just a clumsy fall. I wondered over to help her up, saying something funny to make her feel better.

Beast
A beast is caged in the heart of the city,
sweat oozing from its scaly skin.
The sheets felt like warm, dead prisons,
the motors outside growled like rabid dogs,
foaming in the summer heat.
The walls were painted dark green,
there was no sign of a door.
Beast in a cage,
flesh and rage,
tell me are you willing to stay?
Outside the guests entertained themselves
until the dawn found them kindly unaware,
asleep on the smooth carpet.
The feast was as promised.
