Burning my skin just to try to feel something
The smell of flesh escaping my prison

The small good of my childhood chipping into the darkness
Replaced by the screams of others around me
Bearing what I had to bear
Wishing I could help but too afraid to stand up

My heart like a puzzle losing pieces every time it opens up
Trying to sleep dreading waking up
to the terrible days that engulf me
I wish my whole life was a single day ...

When the sky turns black at the dawn of night
The creatures come out at night
To see how they can drown their sorrows and forget the days they didn't realize
the moon glistens against the glasses that clank against each other
As the clock hands go around and round again
Truly opening your eyes and start to see nothing
Making relationships with people that also don’t feel anything
Praying to things that only cost money
What can you do when the world is tightening its grip around your neck
When you're kicking and screaming and clawing your way ...

Waking up from your own screams
Wishing you could escape to nice dreams

The words carved on me won’t stop bleeding
My body is wondering when I’m gonna start eating
