Grilled Cheese
Pop open that cabinet.
Display the cast iron that I need.
Slip the buttery goodness.
Hear that crackle as aroma fills the air.
Toast up that whole grain symphony and elevate taste buds with some gooey love ❤️.
Flip that concoction to a nice golden texture.
Then savor every wondrous bite of grilled cheese perfection.

STORY POEM

Manhunt
Car seventy-four on the scene,
requesting backup at the ravine.
Gun drawn, investigations on,
searching the grounds, seeing what comes around.
A silent breeze in a shadowed forest,
intrigues my head to hidden noises.
My hand tightens and the barrel heightens,
under extreme pressure, the sweat is hard to weather.
I wipe my face and move at a slowed pace.
Crouching down and visioning around,
while the suspects on the prowl.
Moving along a river wall I came upon,
suspect is sprinting the rocks,
then into the woods...
requesting backup at the ravine.

Unite In Love
What the hell is wrong with this world?
Hate for others seems to rise like an exploding volcano.
Politicians at each other's throats.
Can't make decisions together.
Can't agree on things together.
Too busy thinking of what benefit's their party.
All that was heard of in 2021.
Administration leaving innocents behind.
Frustrations mounting in house and at the border.
Has this world lost its ability to love one another?
Come together and think of those innocents, crisis that loom here and now.
Deeply disturbing this all is no matter the side...

Saving Humanity
I jumped into my suit,
to prepare for the big boost.
Chills roll down my spine,
and nerves take over my mind.
Five, four, three, two, one, .......
body shaking, fear awakening.
Thrusters go and rockets flow.
Out of the atmosphere and into space.
The journey begins to stop humanities fate.
Passing stars at quantum speeds,
I explore planets in a stellar breeze.
Another planet under way,
a sense of something strange directly ahead.
A sort of lunatic fringe I see floating out in front of me.

Someday
I awaken to this room.
A room with no view.
A view never present,
due to blank walls that are like a canvas.
The confines consist of tables, chairs,
and a camera.
Therefore, someone was watching from somewhere.
Building my intense feelings was
nothing more than the sound of breathing.
Breathing not my own, emanating
from the speakerphone.
The phone cut and pointless,
left me with little chance to escape this
crazy fortress.
My mind wonders where might I be?
Spiraling away into insanity it would...

Erase The Misery
The night took hold,
at the full moons glow.
My claws grew long,
as my hair took form.
My muscles contracted,
as my uncontrollable rage,
went active.
Metamorphosis under way,
victims will pay,
so stay out of my way.
The innocent are my prey,
in the dark where the game,
is played.
Blood-thirsty flesh is what I crave,
before and after,
you're in the grave.
Love is what I need,
to stop the feed,
and change this curse within me.
A woman's love can tame me,
and...

When spirit takes me home!
Straight into the clouds.... high above...where my father is.
This heart will rejoice on that day!
Coming into your arms...true loves comfort.... pain forever ends.
When spirit takes me home.
I'm staring at those stars again.
Amazed by the wonder.... knowing your love is out there.
I can't help but think.... about the day.... when I enter and sing!!!

Missing Leadership
Missing leadership seems to me...
no sign of it in that big house....
where could it be?
Politicians crowd the place....
agendas and space to write bills
to fill there greedy deals.
Is that how it's to be?
party favors and corrupt dealers....
running the scene.
Perched up on hilltops....
debating blaming topics.
That oval area sits the antique...
mental for sure....no doubt about it.
Missing leadership I'm certain...
as his right hand assistant seems no better.
She delivers that joker laugh....
while avoiding...

Good night little ones,
it's time to go to bed.
Hugs and kisses, with Mom and Dad
one, two, or three times it'll be.
A sleepy time story Daddy reads
as you fall asleep in the comfort,
of warm covers.
Dream that dream,
of everything that makes you happy.
Dream that dream,
of everything you want to be.
Little ones rest well,
know you are loved by parents and
God up above.
Good night little ones.

A perfect world would be one unlike the earth I know.
A perfect world would be freedom in the truest form.

Stepping outside this house again.
Watching this world unfold into the madness it breathes.
The shouting......distrust......and darkness at every turn.
I just want to cry at the sight of what my eyes see......ears hear.
There must be hope......has to be hope.
Feeling so grim and lost right now......help me!
It's time to let go......! of our foolish thoughts.
Let go of all that tears us apart.
Time to take a stand......start something new.
Time to live for better days!
Come together and make things right.
