Only At The Surface
It never really stops does it?
This need to be seen
to be cherished in some way
But in these fickle times
in considerations sporadic
we really don't get to the meat
of what we're all about
The surface rarely tells the story
fears and expectation
clouding this process
And if no one asks any questions
how to we get beneath this
to the good, messy parts?
Our tears and laughter
can both be a gateway,
sometimes vulnerability
can enhance sensitivity
In the end,
do you really want...
This need to be seen

Medication
I need that dose
that only you provide,
that willing, velvet pocket
in which the length of me
will glide
It doesn't happen
without encouragement
and both of us aware,
glimpses of that bottom
and saying
"take it,
if you dare"
The reveal
unzipped and growing
unbuckled by your hands,
forming to that working mouth
before adding some demands
You see,
I'm more than willing
to give in to what you want,
and the more you seem
to say these things
my fingers feel you...
that only you provide,

That Little Extra
All morning
that bulge
has been nagging at me
prompting me
to do something
about it
Some days
the remedy
comes quick,
but most days
I require
just a little
something extra
A one-sided view

does little

If only you'd invited me in
I wouldn't have to be out here in the cold
nose pressed against the window
standing in the fresh snow
in the cover of night
Hearing the sounds
and seeing in the dim light
how he takes you places
Those twisted faces
of impending needs
ready to burst
on back
or bent over
god, he slides it into you
so good
I see why he keeps
coming back
I wonder if you know
that I'm out there,
I kind of wish you did

even if there is danger

knowing I harden
to the slightest suggestion

be soon in reach
Merciless in need
to tempt me,
showing yourself
in bed with another
and coyly confessing
"thinking of you"
The addiction
of seeing you satisfied
is too much to take sometimes
Manipulation
done so right
to do all the wrongs
with you
Selling me
the notion
you are a fiend
of pleasure and release ...

Festive Solitude
The holidays were quiet
how it all changed
through the years
empty seats at the dinner table
less laughter
So much emphasis
on one day
And this year
as schedules
and timing dictated
I spent it alone
and survived
But I would be lying
if I said I didn't miss the company
Or those smells of the feast
I never thought as I got older
that connection would be farther away
but it is
and I hope that when it finally happens
it will be about...

Can't Get Back To Sleep
Wide awake at 5 am
and slightly frustrated
on this cherished Saturday
This is the day I can sleep in,
but this brain won't let me
Thinking about things I've put off
and how I'm being screwed over by someone
Not a healthy start,
I agree.
And then there is Christmas.
Working in retail,
it takes on a whole new dimension
those songs relentless since November
almost encouraging a rebellious urge
to resist it as long as possible
It will be another gamble
to see if that thoughtfulness ...
and slightly frustrated
on this cherished Saturday
