In my sleep
I reach for him
when I awake
he's gone
Wasn't real....
Deep at night
I dream of love
at first light
that dream dies
Love is over rated....
I remember he's not real
just some fucked up fantasy
he never existed
only in mind
never in reality
Just a dream....

For the rest of my life
if I could have
only one voice to hear
one smile to see
one hand to hold
.....I'd want yours
There's a deep
and overwhelming happiness
my heart never knew
til I found you
If I could make
a difference in one life
I'd want it to be yours
I want to return
all the kindness
you share with me
day to day
I want to make
your life easier
when its hard
calmer when its chaotic
To be the one
who treats your heart
as gently and lovingly
to be the one you lean on...

Upon your lips

Forgotten
Last night I had a dream
Just when I thought
I had forgotten you
Once again you appear.
To again feel those emotions
As I looked into your eyes
And it was your voice I did hear.
Causing me to remember
The feel of your touch
The warmth of your body
And the softness of your lips upon mine.
When you left me
It crushed me and my heart turned cold
Now you appear before me
And I'm reminded
Of how it use to be
When you were here for me to hold.
As I reached out to touch you
You smiled and began to fade...
Just when I thought

Emptiness is a feeling
I live with each day
Hatred and anger
For who I am
....Kept locked inside of me
Pain and sadness
Consume me
Both day and night
My blood runs cold
Just by looking
At my own sight
I've tried to end this thing called "life"
More than ten times fold
Some say I'm worthless
They're probably right
Others say I'm hopeless
Their words ring true
Deeply embedded with in my mind.
I live with each day

mind keeps spinning
behind the smile
she's torn.
The spark in her eye
comes and goes.
Deep inside
her soul is worn.

of her heart
quickens its pace.

I close my eyes
It's him I see
So clear and vividly
Raise my hand
Outstretched it seeks
To feel his warmth
Beneath it's touch

With sweet words

To love a man
Who will never love you back
Who plays with your heart
Pretends to care, but it's all an act.
Pulls you along
Like a puppet on a string
You're a toy to him
He plays you for a fool
To get what he wants
He'll say anything.
I've caught onto this game
It's time to move on
Cut my losses and extinguish the flame
To find someone new
To put him out of my life.
I've changed the rules
The game is over
Now who's the fool?
