Requiem To The Fallen
The trumpet sounds of taps, the drum role, a requiem to those who have served us well, and the men before them, the night was filled with flashes, and the sounds of screaming men, and the cannons sounded as if they were a lion
But all through the night we fought like patriots our courage was our light and I thank God that he protected me with his everlasting might, my best friend gave his life to get me out alive, I thank God for liberty
People say land of the free and home of the brave, but I say land of the free because of the brave we fought to stay free, and we cried a lot ...

Love and Loss (Girl of My Life)
With all the inconsistency
it makes it hard to see
why exactly you did this
to me
After all the times
I've worked so hard
to make you who you really are
I didn't want this for you and me
I stand in the silence looking back at you
you mean more than you could ever know
to me, I will always cherish these memories
but upon hearing what I did, I will stare
at you in disbelief, I took a chance
with love rolled the dice and found you
but now I'm going in blind
I asked God for a friend, someone to
share the times with,...

MISCELLANEOUS POEM

we were soldiers
we were soldiers once and young
all with honor and glory unsung
bound together in blood and pain
sorrow, joy, and tears that stain
I fought for my country bravely though
my fear inside was hidden, not shown
advancing the line, with people dying
children crying, I fought for a country
whose citizens take my blood for granted
I held my best friend as he died
he was only 19, a green beret, but i survived
to this day I wonder why it had
to be him and not i...
I deserve that hand he was dealt
I think back to that situation...

Affliction Stalks Me
(v1) affliction stalks me everyday
i have to guard my back, i need a
second to breathe, but now im suffocating
(v2) i'm wearing out, im winding down
my fuse is almost to the end i've
asked for help, but if any is coming
i really am starting to doubt

now i wish i could obtain your redemption

I walk around at night
and wonder why this life
has to be so hard
the dark is growing
blocking the light
I wonder what I'm
doing here

Will peace ever fight?
