Don't Worry Dad
(v1) It's been just a few days since
you passed away, and tears still
flood my eyes, but even though I
don't know why why you had to go, there's
still one thing I know
(Chorus) Don't worry dad, I'll take good care
of mom, the day she'll see you
again isn't very far, but until then
I'll be strong, you taught me well
and trained me hard, there's nothing
now I can't face
(v3) Your strong hands picked me up
when I stumbled, and your American
spirit taught me how to be humble
you inspired me to fight for my
country, and...

Killing
I'm tired of killing these innocent people
shit our humanity is so damn feeble
they're fighting for what they believe
while I'm fighting for what I believe
they claim death to infidelity
while I claim justice and democracy
but is it really justice when I kill
a man for what he believes if truth?
Ok I'm done writing this, this probably isn't making any sense anyway.

Silent Storm

I stand alone in the night, the unknown
with no place to go, no place to call home
I'm constantly wandering, while I'm hollering
to be rescued
(chorus)
Life is a silent storm, that shows me
I'm broken, and shows me I'm torn
everything I love has been taken away,
right now I'm just praying to live another day
some will say I'm hopelessly broken, some will
say I'm aimlessly hoping, but all I want
is a little bit of light to guide me around
in the middle of the night

I call out hoping for an answer
but silence...

suffering the Innocence
I'm coming undone I wish
I could see you tonight with
my own eyes before I die
fighting this fight
I'm suffering the innocence of
a faithless soul with nowhere to call
home and as I lay here dying
there's just one thing
I have to say...
I hope I gave you a better life
than I could ever know, it's
it's more than what you asked for
but it's more than what some have, don't worry
about me, I'll be alright, I put up my
fists, and fought the good fight
so there it's said, those are my last words

Heads Bow Down
Kneeling down on my knees
I'm praying for another day to breathe
To keep my liberty
My freedom
My religion
AMERICA!
'place I was born
and a place i intend to die for
and I intend to die with Free Rights!
RED WHITE AND BLUE!
shining under that moon
heads bowed down, under that flag
prayers lifted for their troops
for their country
men fall down,
so those colors stand tall
America, my only true love
when there's crying, and fighting,
and explosions
THAT'S WHEN YOU KNOW YOUR FREEDOMS ON THE LINE!

Poem Without A Name I
I fall to the void to the dark
I'm alone, I turned from the
light that i have always known
I walk down this broken road
pain and suffering rule over every
lost soul and my old broken bones
I walk alone I have forgotten all
other lives I have known, here, there
is no right, there is no wrong, you just
do what you can to survive
and through this whole time only lies
will ring true, and all you love will
betray you but I'll fight for my Life.

Prisoners of Ignorance
Never living never die
just dissipate in the sky
another day in a life of lies
in a constant remorse
just taken a life by force
beaten down into the ground
rising up from a hellish rain
fearing not what is to sound
the enemy looks as though we are friendly
as we look and listen so intently
we FOUGHT we SERVED
we TAUGHT we LEARNED
we came to preserve what we thought we earned
freedom overused so faintly
can you see why we thought we were so free?
seeing you come across the way
looking at me I'm so afraid

Through the Window
As I look through the window
color breaks the glass,
into light that shines upon the air
all i know is that today will be fair
when we see others laughing
we need to know more
about our perfect world
through the glass as we share
step through the ground
stomp the unfiltered air
as we march toward fire
we know it will be fine
as we see terrible things
we keep moving toward that window
to see what is happening
all i know is whats through that window
watching on the opposite side
people scared and afraid...

Afghanistan
As the convoy rolled forth
evil eyes upon us gazed
and decided it was our time
the Humvee in front of mine was gone
in the blink of an eye, smoke and fire
engulfed them, as I
stood by helplessly and watched, an
innocent man, my best friend die.
I have nothing left to say
silence fills my mind
so goodbye, and thank a soldier/service
member today...

A Love Lost
There comes a time
not too far away
when you lose what you once knew
gone on a dime
not there to stay
and no one has the sightest clue
an eerie quiet
fills your heart
all thats left is a slowly dying hope
you cry it
all out in part
because you dont know what else to cope
a life gone by
is a love lost
that no one can replace
you ask why
such a cost
for the one with a beautiful face
you listen
but dont hear
the words spoken when they're gone
you're missing them
because you fear
the point you can move on....

Rescue
Im at my breaking point
I'm ready to just collapse
and I feel like anything
I do is criticized and skepticized
I need a rescue, I can't breathe
under the weight of all things
I need a crutch, and someone
on which to lean
my cries are not heard by those
who are near by, and I'm sinking
I don't think I can take too much
more of this world
im slowly dying
the pain, it hurts, I need to rest
but this worlds got me constantly
on the move so would you stop a while
