Love is Blind
I let down my guard and opened up to you
I didn't care about the rest of them
I just wanted time with us two
Simple ways to say I care
Overlooked like they were never there
Tried to be a man at my best
It didn't turn you eyes
Seen like the rest outside of your wall
It meant nothing
But I showed you
Gave you my all
Not sure if holding onto hope that one day you could be mine
Or holding on to the truth that everyday love is blind.
I didn't care about the rest of them

Take her away
Take her hand and take her away.
Take her to a better place.
Kiss like every kiss is your last.
Hold her like you never want this moment to pass.
Let her know shes safe in your arms.
Love has no limits.
There's no telling how far.
Tears only from joy.
Never from harm.
Tell her how you feel even if she doesn't know what to say
Because you still have to take her hand...
and take her away.

You don't ever have to speak or think of your past.
I wouldn't spend my nights with you if I didn't want this to last.
You can trust I am here to make you live, and make you laugh,
Never to cry, never to feel sad.
I hope what you've wished for has finally come true.
I hope you can look at me and say yes it's because of you.
Lets let the sun shine and make this worthwhile.
Lets keep all the romance, laughs, and smiles just for us two.
Just as I write this,

Take it from me take my heart away.
Cause I don't want to feel, to feel it anymore.
I give myself up.
There's no emotion in my eyes.
There's only the lies Ive been fed.
The lies that fill me inside.
Why does it happen to me.
I just want to care.
I thought it was someone anyone could have.
All I've learned is it's just not fair.
