A Broken Dream
Land of the free
Home of the brave
Can't see eye to eye
Not even on one single day
Are we divided
More like shattered glass
Many different opinions
What's worth agreeing
He say this
She said that
Even a child's voice
Is no longer cute
I have a dream
More like
Wishing upon a star
That has already fallen
Corruption, destruction
Terrorism is on the rise
But an inner war
That Americans not ready for
In their own backyard
Just open the door
To see people wanting more ...

I am a man

Don't always be
How society blindly feels
I am human
Making mistakes
I shed tears
When I feel pain
Why is it hard
To just be me
Without being criticized
By my peers
What I do
Is such a big deal
I choose to be different
It is right for me
And others
It's hard to believe
A man
In the public's eye
Can do what
Society
Don't want to see

Self Execution
What is a life
When you don't have a feeling
Trapped in a small room
Life has no meaning
A war with emotions
No room for a solution
Just a mast of weight
Taking in useless air
Nowhere to go
And no people to see
A quiet place
With little space
Infuriated and depressed
Lonely and worrisome
A soul that is lost
A body that is tired
My time is up
Life must expire
When you don't have a feeling

A reservoir full of water
Trapped within
A man made dam
A heart full of passion
A body full of strength
Away from a woman's touch

A dog locked in a cage
Placed outside

Plenty of space to run

Get Your Own Jake
Meeting positive people
The keys
To opening the right doors
To build a foundation
That's strong
Can withstand major storms
Putting self in position
To stand on your own
With no help or loans
Working to achieve
Saving up to put equity
Into a future you perceive
No longer in need
To ask or answer to
Or borrow what you cannot afford
While walking on a thin line
That will break
With too much weight
Get your own Jake
It's less worries
When it is you
Putting food on your plate

To opening the right doors

Life Means Little
Physically I'm alive
But mentally I'm half dead
Feelings of happiness
No longer I feel
Some events happens
That in the past
Would had delighted my heart
But today
Just a regular event
Yes
My life been rough
Struggling is not even the word
Help is given
Friends make many offers
But my soul is a corpse
No longer I smile
Physical murder I do not fear
If a bullet comes along
A great deed they would do for me
Because suicide is not an option
But death in another way
Is surely...

A Man Standing Alone
Who am I
A man standing alone
Amongst a hungry pack of wolves
Like an animal
Taken out of its habitat
Each day
Segregating myself from the cons and misguided
The shadows that try to follow
Wherever I go
What does a man do
When he stands alone
Stays to himself
I see no one
Everyone around me disappears
While I walk within an invisible barrier
I am the president of myself
I make the laws of what I can and can't do
Twenty four hours
And seven days a week
I ask myself
Who am I.... ...

Holy We Fight
Cancer is knocking
At my father's door
Go away Cancer
You're not wanted here
Not ever more
My father
He's a child of God
Maybe old, but youth
Runs through his bloodlines
You say
He doesn't bow his head to pray
But the Lord is still with him
Night and day
And you forget Mr. Cancer
He's not homeless
Or alone in this fight

Strong vibes from within
Invisible strings
Attached
Trying to pull me along
Into unwanted territory
I left unannounced
Hoping
Never to step foot again

Birthday
My day
One year older
Just another day
Like so many others
No one even acknowledges
That it's my special day
