POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Drowning
Sweet, sweet silence,
It engulfs me.
I'm searching for guidance,
Sweet, sweet silence.
Like the calm of the islands,
Like the waves of the sea.
Sweet, sweet silence,
It engulfs me.
It engulfs me.
I'm searching for guidance,
Sweet, sweet silence.
Like the calm of the islands,
Like the waves of the sea.
Sweet, sweet silence,
It engulfs me.

Short Life Lived
The clock struck noon
On a September day
The light shone through the gloom
The clock struck noon
A figure approached, I wonder whom?
His whole world turned gray
The clock struck noon
On a September day.
On a September day
The light shone through the gloom
The clock struck noon
A figure approached, I wonder whom?
His whole world turned gray
The clock struck noon
On a September day.

Life of Lies
I am painting a picture
On this dead silent night
My whole system filled with liquor
And I'm disgusted with this sight
My own sight paints me a thought
Of a dead purple sky
The color of distraught
And the color of lies
It brings back memories
Of the past where I am bound
That dark grave at the cemetery
With silence as the sound
The shattered sound of a broken heart and broken screams
Leads to a life of shattered dreams
On this dead silent night
My whole system filled with liquor
And I'm disgusted with this sight
My own sight paints me a thought
Of a dead purple sky
The color of distraught
And the color of lies
It brings back memories
Of the past where I am bound
That dark grave at the cemetery
With silence as the sound
The shattered sound of a broken heart and broken screams
Leads to a life of shattered dreams

Redemption
This bird's feathers were much too bright
To be kept in a cage its entire life
You know it's a sin
To keep it locked up all along
But when you set it free
You can all but feel the rejoice
But it leaves darkness in your life
To know that beautiful feathered bird has escaped from your sight
Hope is enlaced in every colored feather
You believe in everything
As you have created a new hope from this endeavor
You know it was meant to be
For you to meet this bird
Just always remember
When something as good as hope is ever born...
To be kept in a cage its entire life
You know it's a sin
To keep it locked up all along
But when you set it free
You can all but feel the rejoice
But it leaves darkness in your life
To know that beautiful feathered bird has escaped from your sight
Hope is enlaced in every colored feather
You believe in everything
As you have created a new hope from this endeavor
You know it was meant to be
For you to meet this bird
Just always remember
When something as good as hope is ever born...

Alice's Twist
Poor little Alice, lies here dead
Cause of death: she lost her head!
Her mind really was a work of art...
And of the kindest was her heart
Now here she lies so terribly stiff
One could tell from just one whiff
Her body is already decomposing
All because she was out nosing
Cause of death: she lost her head!
Her mind really was a work of art...
And of the kindest was her heart
Now here she lies so terribly stiff
One could tell from just one whiff
Her body is already decomposing
All because she was out nosing

Sick Pair of Words
Keep hopeful and happy are a sick pair of words
Because it's too much to ask of someone who hurts
And since the pain is real
We shouldn't be bothered
To keep hopeful and happy
To live life longer
Because it's too much to ask of someone who hurts
And since the pain is real
We shouldn't be bothered
To keep hopeful and happy
To live life longer

Don't Bother
Don’t bother to live
Don’t bother to die
Go through life like it’s alright
Don’t bother to try
Don’t bother to cry
I thought everything would be alright
Don’t bother to scream
Don’t bother to try an save a life
Because I tried
But you left me here breathlessly
You have saved me unexpectedly
My image was distorted and I was fading away
But I took all the strength you could lend
To keep my head above water
Until the end
But the end came faster than we had hoped
My mind was made up
It was time to go
Do you remember the...

Don't Hurt and Don't Cry
Don't hurt and don't cry
It'll all be alright
If I'm dead or alive
Or not in your life
Don't hurt and don't cry
It'll all be alright
If I'm not there
Just know that I loved you
And that I only ever cared for you
But we still have time
So let's make it last
I'm not giving up yet
So let's not live in the past
Don't hurt and don't cry
It'll all be alright
One day soon, I wish to leave
So please, have mercy on me
My time will run out
and I'll leave you alone
But not on purpose
There's just no where else to...
It'll all be alright
If I'm dead or alive
Or not in your life
Don't hurt and don't cry
It'll all be alright
If I'm not there
Just know that I loved you

She's Gone
All who watched him didn't speak
As a silent tear ran down his cheek
He looked down at her, dressed in black
And wished again to have her back
But now her skin, so terribly cold
And never again would she be his to hold
They watched in silence as he bent near
And whispered the words, "I love you, dear."
As the wind began to blow
They lowered her casket in the snow
He felt her soul from this cold world fly,
And his whole world crumbled with a sorrowful sigh
As a silent tear ran down his cheek
He looked down at her, dressed in black
And wished again to have her back
But now her skin, so terribly cold
And never again would she be his to hold
They watched in silence as he bent near
And whispered the words, "I love you, dear."
As the wind began to blow
They lowered her casket in the snow
He felt her soul from this cold world fly,
And his whole world crumbled with a sorrowful sigh
