LOVE POEM

Enough...
Love is like missing a flight;
You get there just in time to watch it fly away
I've seen and pursued it many nights
And I'm back to being heartbroken the next day
I've loved and been loved
Though neither time was it reciprocal
Now I've had enough
The thought of it is despicable
Why throw myself back into the same dark emotions?
It's exactly the same as being adrift in the ocean:
You're lost, cold, confused and nobody knows you're there
All you think is it would be nice if someone somewhere would care
I'd like to say...

Love Story
Once upon a time two teens fell in love
Both feeling like it was a blessing from the heavens up above
She was prettier than any Hollywood actress
And was dynamite when on the mattress
He was so charming she couldn't resist
They both fell into a romantic bliss
One day tho while they were underneath the sheets getting it on
His rubber broke and that's where it all went wrong
She found out she was pregnant from a home test
And he started smoking cigarettes from all the stress
For he had all these dreams he'd built up in...

Taking A Break From Certain Friends
It's kinda fucked up
How you find people you love so much
Then they take your opinions and disown you
Like they never did or ever care to know you
I wish I could show you
Things from my own point of view
They say I'm just a young dumb kid
With no thoughts of my own
Why can I be so close yet feel so alone?
My heart has turned to stone
I don't feel at home
So I might as well go out and roam
It's not like they're my only friends
I've passed on opportunities over and over again
So I could be with them
But now I have to show this one...

Attack On Your Sympathies
I've gotta strange new problem
And I don't know how I can solve it
It's not in my control so it's awkward
And safety makes no offer
For me to survive so I can't process
This mess in private so I confess
To deal with stress I hit the bottle
Drink a pack of Hamms full throttle
Most people say it's awful
And besides that it's unlawful
What else am I supposed to do though?
It's my only therapy, you know?
Why am I asking you? You don't care
You're unaware of the issues that are out there
Like personal inner struggles to resist fear

Your opinions are worthless
Mine are the ones that matter
You don't even deserve this
Explanation to stop your chatter
You're mad because I can rhyme
So much better than the best
And give you such a hard time
You're weighed down by the stress
If you don't understand this
Then just turn around and walk away
It's better to be oblivious
Than to stress over what I say
If you reply angrily to this rhyme
Don't expect a response from me
I don't need to waste time

Epiphany of Deception
Confusion: a mind lost
Delusion: illusions so real
Solution: a way to fix a problem
I've gotta strange brain
It's going insane
Damaged by this ongoing chain
Of events that never seem to let
Up and just refrain
So I try to restrain
Myself in public and save
The time I'm alone to misbehave
Because there are rules
Breaking character is not cool
That would make me a fool
Since I'm only the image I portray
Even though what I do say
Is said in just the right way
So I don't ruin anyone's day
But why do I give a fuck...

Observation of the Staircase
I have an opinion about those stairs/why would I write it if no one cares?/simply because it's there/and I can't just talk it into the air

Now what I noticed about the steps/-(read close so you don't forget)-/hopefully its a message you'll get/but only if you let/
It sink in and absorb
So let me explain/it's kind of insane/kind of plain/but what the stairs portray/is an illusion to get away/or ascend to something greater/maybe a better job or behavior/its a lesson you should savor/but only if you favor/making something better than what it was/maybe this poem is a...
