Broken Hallelujah
Compose thyself
No secret cord,
No marble arch,
No harpist’s tune.
By myself
Intrude the dark;
No vict’ry march,
No ties to break.
What’s real?
Cries in the night,
Broken throwns -
Let me prove,
Drawn from lips;
Composed of lies.
Shoot me first.
Forget the light.
Whom will fall
To cold moonlight?
Love’s holy music
Overthrown.
