Silencing pain
Why am I hurting so bad inside?
For so many nights I have laid there and cried
I search for a cure
For this pain I endure
Without success, I wish to run and hide
Small words escape these trembling lips
Noone can hear me and into a dark place I seem to slip
There I remain for what seems an eternity
I slowly embrace my new found insanity
But still down my cheeks, tears continue to drip
My skin aches with even the slightest touch
There's no way one human can withstand so much
This torturous pain must be cause by a foreign entity

Sweet insanity
I see you from the inside out
You try to hide your outside in
I see you and you scream and shout
The taste of you, my sweetest sin
This happens from time to time
And no I am not your friend
To your lips you bring pure cyanide
I take it, can not let you win
I won't release you, not this time
So don't deny me, don't even try
Oh, sweet insanity
Can't you hear all the hate and anger in my voice?
I know you can, you don't have a choice
Can't you see when you look into my eyes
All the contempt? It is you I despise ...

Children of the Night
Our love is a curse
For it brings out our worst
We cut each other down
This is not what love is about
From our throats, hateful screams will burst
I yern to make you bleed
A huge price you will pay
All the torment and horror you put me through
On the floor you will lay
So why must I wait to get hurt?
I'll hurt everyone first
And steal their chance to do me harm
Better you than me
That's the way I see
You dont have to agree
But cross me and you'll bleed
You snap back at me
I'll let out a scream
I can't believe...
For it brings out our worst

Self Loathing
Thought you were many prince in shining armour
But you're the evil witch out to do me harm
Wish I'd found out before
And could have defeated you while I was strong
I've endured this pain for far too long
My reward for loving you all this while
Is for you to put me in exile
How many rivers must I cry?
How much time must pass by?
Until I am cured?
Until I've moved on?
Until I'm finally able to say goodbye?
They say time heals all wounds
But time's made mine bleed worse
It feels like I've suffered one million dooms

Hard to Say Goodbye
They say opposites attract
I say they're wrong
Inside my heart is breaking
But to you, I still look strong
I never realized how hard it is to say Goodbye
If this is what is right
Why does it hurt so bad?
If this is what we want
Why so I feel so sad?
If we are so in love
Why must it be this way?
I don't want what we had
To be just yesterday

Standing in the Dark
I've loved you from so far away
For all these years, you see
But I can not think of what to say
When you're standing next to me
I search for you each day and night
But you're oh so hard to find
I try to think with all my might
Of how to speak these thoughts that cloud my mind
But you never notice me walk by
Or hear these words I speak
Your cruelty makes me want to cry
It's your love I truely seek
Apparently I love thee
with all my heart

Prey
I am like a bird
Trapped in its cage
You've clipped my wings
And you drove me insane
You're like a hawk
And I am your prey
How do I escape?
I don't believe there's a way
I am like a fly
And you are the spider
I'm caught in your web
You spin it tighter and tighter
After all of these years
Of being the prey
How do I escape?
I believe I've found a way
Now I am the hawk
And the spider too
You're so confused
You dont know what to do
Never again
Will I be the prey
Ive finally found...

Within Temptation
If you're gonna tease me and taunt me and haunt me
But never pull through or do what you say
If you laugh when I cry and all you say is a lie
I need to move on and not dwell on today
But sometimes you kiss me and hug me and love me
Love your arms around me and the smell of your hair
You miss away my tears and brush away my fears
You say I'm The One and act like you care
But one minute youre hot and the next you are cold
You hug me one day, then you shove me away
It's all too confusing, I just can't keep up
You say you're here always but...

The End
Tell me, is this a dream?
When I turn, nobody's there
Why is this happening to me?
Nobody seems to care
I've suffered these long years
With nobody by my side
I try to wipe away my tears
And find some place to hide
Is this pretend, or is it real?
Nobody will help
Nobody knows how I feel
I just want to yell
Demons are ruling
My hate for them fuelling
Did they take all my loved ones?
I just do not know
Fire surrounds me
I'm burning but never die
Now even though I'm in such pain
I cannot seen to cry...
When I turn, nobody's there
Why is this happening to me?

Reality
The more she runs
The more you chase
She tries to hide
Won’t look at your face
She hides all the bruises
But the black eye is still there
You tell her you're sorry
And pretend that you care
She's wanted to leave you
Wanted to get out
"I'd like to see you try!"
Is what you'd always shout
She tried to tell her family
Oh so many times
But nobody believed her
Nor stood by her side
She's all on her own
But has finally found a way
So when she hits you back
You stare in dismay

You were my everything
You were my love
You were my everything
But you took my heart
Turned it to dust
Gave you my love
You lost my trust
How could I have been so blind?

Guess I was a fool
Said you'd never leave me
