I'm not white, but I'm not black. I'm not Nigerian but I'm not American. I'm not Republican, but I'm definitely not a Democrat. I'm an American African and I straddle the fence. I'm constantly in defense of who I am perceived to be.

They said they couldn’t hear the darker brother.
True, we came from different mothers but we share the similar ancestors.
My clan has paid, both in blood and gold truth be told.
Some were sold and some stayed back but I find myself on a new future’s map.
They said all I could do was sling drugs, rap, and play my position other than that of quarterback.
I simply couldn’t honor that.
I refused to cap my intellect.
It cost too much.
I don’t see myself going Dutch with the one percent.
They tried to silence me but I broke through poetically.

Those who drink from the divine vine’s toil are unaware of his process, but enjoy his fruit nonetheless.

Building Back Better
Our infrastructure is so fucked up, we got backed up and now we look jacked up.
Highway systems looking crazy, our construction workers appear lazy.
Politicians rob us and they say repay, we need to replay the minutes and buy our country back.
President B lately saying building back is better, but with who's damn cheddar.
To make the world better we need to get our infrastructure top of the class.

Twin Flame
Here’s to my twin flame, and yet I don’t know her name.
Her passions are my passions; her every desire sparks my fire; my third eye equiviqual her lighter.
The flow of her explosive aquifer proved more than enough to engorge my shining member.
Her sweat leaks love potion lighter fluid overdosed with the sweetest of ethers.

Alas by midnight moonlight I sit contemplating my duel reality.
Inherently, I see conflict existing between morality and animality which is why capitalism and humanity can not seem to agree.

We breath oxygen through protection.
We're not too sure who stole the election.
We give more to life than one percent.
We pay our taxes while we pay their rent.

How did we get to climate crisis?
Were we the accomplices of policies that fueled greenhouse gasses?
In classes past they called it global warming.
Al Gore gave the warning but they said he was just too boring.
Global warming didn’t exist.
Major CEOs wanted profit so they saw fit to ignore the signs.
Now the working class has to has to pick up the dime that others cash in on.
Gone are the ones who made their millions on polluting the ocean.

New World Philosophy
The world as we knew it has become destabilized;
The single-polar world of the 90's and it's values have been compromised;
Clashes between totalitarian regimes and democracy are highly globalized;
Economies have been immobilized by international villains of enterprise.
Inquiring eyes look to the skies, but are blocked out by coal emissions;
Material possessions obstruct compromising on capitalist inhibitions;

Purpose Driven
Does living a purpose driven life come with a manual?
My F-150 did, but I scrapped it as means to an end.
I think that life comes with a mission statement, but I'm the author.
The lone gunmen of my fate I debate whether living a purpose driven life has room for a shotgun

Out of clay I formed my Golem.
His intended purpose the destruction of my enemy.
My adversaries echo hate for how I look and what I believe.
So out of clay I call to rise from ash and earth, blessed be my Golem’s birth.
Truly I revere to be the contender of my brother’s curse.
My enemy stands, emboldened by my false weakness as his strength.
With ancestral orchestra I mold my Golem.
