Climate Crisis

How did we get to climate crisis?
Were we the accomplices of policies that fueled greenhouse gasses?
In classes past they called it global warming.
Al Gore gave the warning but they said he was just too boring.
Global warming didn’t exist.
Major CEOs wanted profit so they saw fit to ignore the signs.
Now the working class has to has to pick up the dime that others cash in on.
Gone are the ones who made their millions on polluting the ocean.
My footprint is present, but it’s a drop in the bucket of guilty emissions.
Those who were in the position to stop the tragedy should be deemed guilty.
It’s easy to kick the rock across the globe and curse an individual walking down the street.
It isn’t fair that people attack those who did not burn the coal that powered the steel industry.
We are not the enemy of the earth, check the ones who made toxic profit.
I mean how can you fault your own kind and turn a blind eye to environmental rapists.
You befriend the notion of the wealthy while you will never join them.
To live in a green world reject the dollar and live for honor.
Reputation for global awareness can do much for the Climate Crisis.
I insist that we pay attention to the international process of controlling the ghastly situation.
They’re outpacing American concessions at the working classes experience.
They own our debt, and they seek control of the sea.
With whom should we speek to correct the wrong of politicians past.
