Being ignorant to age, I thought my life was at a dead end.
Just in high school, I thought I had no accomplishments.
Everyone else had a story to tell, I thought I was too far behind.
Such great achievements, I thought I would never succeed.
But I never gave up.

Knowing that high school is where it begins, I got my name out.
Wanting so much fame, I followed my dreams.
To live the high life as a world renounced photographer, I applied.
For four months my mind was reeling with doubt, I waited.
But the day came.

Opening the envelope, my dreams...

When the world cracks open to our own mental despair
and nothing ever seems to be normal or even sane
You came along.

My heart was ripped into thousands of pieces
Just glass on the street to be ignored.
You found me.

Everyday I feel beautiful and everyday you wait by my side.
Nothing could be more perfect to make my world good.
You love me.

But my heart can never belong to you, my brother.
You've done so much to make me smile, yet all I've done is break you down.
You lost me.

Bombs are dropping on innocent.
Bread taken from the hungry.
Men taken from wives into the black abyss we know as death.
War torn land never to be the same.
We destroy our mother without disregard.
Brother's murder upon each other is never ending.
Rape and theft are common knowledge.
What's happened to us?
Why are we so corrupt?
Race and religion are frowned upon.
Love is a dirty word too popular to the public.
Our leaders take from us what we don't have.
We can't survive.
The people that try to be the best are thrown to nothing.

We seem to be life times apart.
Two years can seem so long.
Collage on your mind, prom on mine.
Everything was perfection in everyone's eyes.
Everyone but you.
Practically a year passed, no harm.
One day to ruin months of happiness.
And now all I can do is wish your arms around me.
Wish that you loved me as much as I loved you.
Memories are nothing but an old story that we'll forget with time.
And it breaks me to know nothing will be the same.
