What do you do with yourself,
When we don't talk for days?
Do you still love me when I'm not there?
Do I still mean just as much to you?

That has failed to keep your interest.

Just when things
Were going so well,
You decide it's time
To put me through hell,
First you can
When it's all fun,
But when feelings grow
He's suddenly the one.
So now we can
Be only friends,
And thus our little
Tryst once again ends.

Whirlwind
These thoughts swirl around inside my head
Blowing me around this way and that and
Leaving me in this dizzying topsy twirl,
Where I'm once again struggling
To maintain what's the truth
And separate out all of this
Inner self-negativity from
What's actually reality,
And find some hope
And happiness
Once again.

How do you find your peace again
When the thoughts in your head
Get too loud to be ignored
While you sit alone in your silence?
How do you find what it is

It's a shame that we try so hard to fit in,
Only to be reminded why we never will,
By the various people that are
Only repeating what has been
Forced upon them as well.

Thorned Rose
I love you very intensely,
So much so that it
Leaves me restless
When you're not near.
These feelings are
A double-edged sword.
I'm not sorry that I have them,
But they make things difficult.
Being apart from you
Leaves me feeling
Hollow and listless,
Like part of me is missing.
I have a renewed meaning
And purpose once again,
And a new obsession
Threatening to overwhelm.
I have no regrets though
Because I would rather
Feel this way now than
The emptiness...
So much so that it
Leaves me restless
When you're not near.
These feelings are

Change is Inevitable
Whenever things seem horrible,
Please remember that
It won't always be this way.
Whether a chaotic spree
Or a slow trudge forward,
Change happens to all.
Things will not be
As they are today
Within a year's time.
Sooner or later,
Everything changes
Even if only slightly.
Nothing lasts forever,
Not even forever.
Take in this both
Comfort and warning.
Please remember that
It won't always be this way.
