Hiding In Plain View
I was just trying to catch the sun,
Before it left me too,
It's so hard to maintain my balance,
Late in the afternoon,
When I know the day is ending,
And the is marching,
To maintain a solemn vigil,
Over my dead body,
Hanging from the rafters,
So I won't hit the ground,
And break any bones on impact,
That make the dreaded sound,
Of the shattering of an insect,
Underneath my shoe,
That's dangling above the chair,
Hiding in plain view.
Before it left me too,
It's so hard to maintain my balance,
Late in the afternoon,
When I know the day is ending,
And the is marching,

Over my dead body,

Underneath my shoe,

Hiding in plain view.

Dear Lilly (Katawa Shoujo's Lilly Satou)
I...,
I honestly don't know why I'm writing this,
Between the fact that you're sleeping beside me, along with being blind,
It would seem pretty silly of me to make this sentimental gesture as opposed to a simple goodnight kiss,
I suppose this letter is more for me then, rather than for you,
I could read it aloud to you when you wake up,
But considering how dumb and rambly this is turning out perhaps I'll just keep this out of view,
Of course you "seeing" it wouldn't be a problem considering...,
Ah no no no let me get back on track and for lack of a...

I Am Whom The Wicked Call Evil
Lies through the teeth,
Hands at the throat,
Free from security,
Safe behind the moat,
Last gasps of the lungs,
Eyes staring into infinity,
Above the tree I've been hung,
Begging for Him to intercede.

Metal Bones
Oh king atop your throne,
Why do your silent thoughts,
Drown out your own wails and moans,
You seek respite after the wars you’re fought,
By sitting atop your gold plated loft,
Trapped within your iron scales and jewel encrusted bones,
Your scars barely tenuously clasp your skin together in a thousand slipknots,
Your crown bears an omen like the eulogy on a tombstone,
Beware the man whose life is fraught,
With the fear of losing all that he’s sought,
For that man is your king atop his throne,
Of skin crafted rugs and metal bones.

Reilly "Rellic" Anders
I think it's time for a proper introduction,
Many have heard of Rellic,
But few know of Reilly Anders,
I'm a treasure hunter of sorts,
An adept at exploration,
Now I know what you're thinkin,
"Ohhhh great, ANOTHER archetypal girl archaeologist, I'v eseen this all before so forget it,"
And to that I say "yeaaaa but I'm not a whiny Brit" so at least stay for the banter,
Don't get me wrong it's not an easy ride, there's a lot of boulder filled caverns and a *shudder* custody court,
And yes, keeping my golden treasure babies safe is my only...

Rellic
A memory of a forgotten time,
A then unrecognizable by the now,
Found under the worker's plough,
And heard when the church bell chimes,
But otherwise left to rot,
In era old crypts,
And fields of Forget Me Nots,
Only revealing herself as an iceberg's tip,
Enough to spark a curiosity,
Among the watchers of sunsets,
And the disciples of ancestry,
When she gracefully performs her minuet,
Much to the disdain of the modern degenerate,
To her, history is not a path but a cycle that repeats,
Precisely performed lest her people forget,

My Sword, My Shadow
How long has darkness been your ally?
Ever since it revealed to me the truth,
How can the truth be revealed without light?
The light blinds the fool, but the dark enlightens the foolproof,
How is it that you find shelter in that which consumes all?
The same way in which we are able to sleep at night,
How can you equate a time of peace to the greatest fall?
That which our conscious actions cannot solve our mind rights,
How can you speak in metaphors when your actions betray your intentions?
My demands unwavering loyalty and absolute...

My Sword, My Soul
You are trapped between two worlds,
How else can you define the path to enlightenment but as a prison?
You advocate for peace only after the war-banner unfurls,
How else can be harmony be achieved if not by the quelling of dissent?
You hoard knowledge of the cosmos leaving the masses ignorant,
How else can the truth be preserved if not through preservation?
You swear fealty to a nation yet insist you're indifferent,
How else can unity be realized if not by organization?
You persecuted my people and banished them to the darkness,
How...

Stop Slithering
Spare me the sentiment,
You race-baiting charlatan,
Your "charity" reeks of contempt,
And your action for so-called "social justice" is mired in incompetence,
But upon this ID I issue a remittance,
For to me, being called white is a compliment,
A man above petty grievances and privilege puritans,
In my heritage I find contentment,
Knowing that I will never receive special treatment,
Only the disdain of the media gargantuans,
And the incessant complaints of the historically inept,
I revile your inferiority complex's persistence,...

Porcelain
The perfect glass smile,
Complimented by an intricate fan to extenuate,
The beauty in her dagger filled eyes,
To describe her elegance in words is to exasperate,
The nuances of language and the strength of my tongue,
But to gaze upon such a form so pristine,
I would brave a thousands dangers to count myself among,
The thrall of admirers that throw themselves at her feet,
Alas, to consort with a man of the looming mountains,
Would be the highest scandal for a woman of the gentle valleys,
Yet still, for one kiss I would beseech a thousand pardons,

The Sun Shines on Our Land
I have the ability to see,
The sun glistening off the water,
For no veil blinds me,
I have the opportunity to speak,
About the issues that matter,
I have the lungs needed to breathe,
With a gas mask to filter,
The noxious air that clouds minds and yellows teeth,
I will walk this yellow brick road without fear or falter,
For this path has been illuminated for us to follow and keep.

Cease and Dissent
They're redefining sanctity,
Brutally enforcing harmony,
Encouraging the surrender of solidarity,
The best kept secret, our dichotomy.
Finally a moment of clarity,
After living so long for others,
Never again will I be longing,
For those sacrilegious tethers,
Breathing in the fresh air again,
After so long in the basement,
Healthy doses of the fair and even,
A welcome change from containment.
Trapped within,
My own country,
Sustained by subtle sin,
It's my resistance,
And my holy duty,
To discern the truth from...
