UPBEAT INSPIRATIONAL POEM

Sacrilege
The present moment is all I have
Aware of body, mind and breath
I do not believe in any god
Or in a fate that is foretold
Or that a man or woman can be holy at all
I have no cross upon my wall
Only a statue of the Buddha, sitting tall
He reminds me until my death
That the present moment is all I have
And if I let go of my mindfulness
Then this is the only true sacrilege

Golden you
In each of world religion teachings
Among all the self-righteous preaching
I find some things I think are true
This one is: there’s a golden you
There is a you who loves to live
To care, to love and freely give
The highest truths for which you long
Are just covered, they are not gone
The world told you you are a sinner
They programmed you to be a “winner”
For a dog eats dog world
They covered the true you with dirt
But you don’t have to be this way
For inside you there is a sun
That waits for you to set it...

Dear poetry
Come out of me
I don’t want to keep you inside
For you’re a source of joy and pride
I want to give you to the world
I want your wonders to unfold
I want your flowers to grow and grow
And I want all the world to know
That you have flowers inside you too
Only your heart knows what for you is true
So give your truth to the whole world
And let the wonders of your heart unfold
Come out of me
I don’t want to keep you inside

This road I’m blessed to walk
This road I’m blessed to walk
Requires little talk
Requires lots of knowing
Requires lots of doing
Requires lots of calm
Requires lots of peace
This road I walk in silence
No drama and no violence
No hall of fame for me
My deepest wish: to just be
Sometimes I miss the chatter
Sometimes I miss the talk
But depth is my reward
On this road I’m blessed to walk

Sunshine
Beautiful play of light on the water
A complexity too great for words
Changing every second
The grass on the side of the water
Swoons in the wind
The soft, gentle breeze
A melody no mind can put on paper
A song too profound for capturing it in notes
This is the moment I remember
Unique
Some things can not be dissected with the mind
Don‘t try to understand beauty
Just experience its majesty
Too vast for our limited words
Every ray of sunlight
Is unique
A complexity too great for words

A choice
For a long time in my life
I dreamed of doing something great
Of fame and glory
As we idolize it so fatally
So wrongly, as I came to see
Greatness is not my path
I am an ordinary person
And I love being ordinary
For society is kept alive by ordinary people
Without ordinary people societies would die
I do not need to be the one
I like being one of many
For great or not, fundamentally we are all the same anyway
I choose
A life of modesty and humility
Of doing the good things I can do
And...
I dreamed of doing something great
Of fame and glory
As we idolize it so fatally

Every night in my dreams
I see you, I feel you“
No, actually I do not
I do not even think about you often
But the fear of disappointing your parents is hard to overcome
Even when they are dead
I must accept something about myself
I am not perfect
Sometimes I am weak
And do things I am not proud of
But I can no more
Live to not disappoint you
I must live
To make myself proud
I will give what I have to give
Not what you wanted me to give
I am not your dreams
I am just myself ...

In the making
I long lived very distant
But I will go on the attack
My assault on my fearful heart is
To hold nothing back
Not everything is improved by a warm hart and flowery speeches
Sometimes the most useful things are the brutal breaches
It is when you are scared, hurt, frightened and you feel like shit
It is the moments when you have just about enough of it
I will not deny these moments any longer
Will not shy away from going into them
For the chrysalis does not emerge without pain
And I will no longer be just a frightened...
But I will go on the attack

Hope for us
I wonder, will there come a time
When love and peace will be in rhyme
When we can rest from our obsession
This demon that we call progression
We can not push and drive ahead
Until our whole race will be dead
A burial, a burning earth
This is not what we all deserve
We have the means for us to rest
If we could give and pass the test
Abstain from our endless greed
Take two steps back, and from there lead
To come to the same place and trust
It would mean less for some of us
But would survival not be worth it?...
When love and peace will be in rhyme

As green things grow
Today I did something important for my soul
I walked and sat among green things
And watched them grow
And I asked myself:
Why do I, foolish human
Always push myself so hard
Why do I try to grow so quickly

Being the best
What an awful thing it would be to be the best
To be the one called upon to solve the problem
When everyone else has failed
To have the pressure
That if you can not solve it no one can

I breathe deeply, in and out
That is what life is about
To keep breathing every day
