Poet Introduction
Never thought I'd want to be a poet. I have soooooo much to let go of. Seems like a more constructive way to get it all out than letting it go in negative ways. Lets see where poetry takes me.

Peasant
Rolling hills of the palace land outline the countryside.
The king's castle looms larger than life.
Golden wheat stalks sway gently in the breeze.
Lush green pastures go on forever,
until winter comes.
I tend to my sheep,
herding them to the east.
I sit on down on a cold wet stone.
Start to daydream as always about things more precious than gold.
I lay my old staff on the cool ground.
It was carved with a knife that was bartered for a lamb.
My cloak is all torn,
its ragged and worn.
The hat on my head is in shambles for sure,
doesn't...

I lay here awake, again and again.
Crying and pining and screaming inside.
Wondering why fate is so cruel.
My hopes and my dreams smashed in my face.
I love and I lose, but I'm better for that...
Yeah, right! Who the hell really thinks that?

The Lion & The Scales
Hand in hand, we step out into the dark.
A brilliant midnight sky surrounds.
Moon is a cresent, a mere sliver of light.
Zodiac signs seem electrified.
My lion roars out. Your golden scales tip down.
Stars shining down fade in and out as clouds wisp around.
I'm fire. You're air.
Galaxies spiral through the beyond like a love that was bound to go circling down.
I'm ruled by the Sun; it's Venus for you.
Planets in orbit play hide and seek, their satellite's cast hollow shadows.

Explode
I need you more than I could have ever known.
We're different from them,
You know what I mean.
You let me set my soul free,
I was free to be me,
No questions asked,
Just went with the flow.
We laughed at each other's fucked up thoughts,
Drank from bottles to drown our sorrows.
You made me feel like I was OK,
Like I finally fit in.
Circumstances made us have to let go.
Now I yell and I scream,
My mind is a mess.
My insides are broken,
I'm damaged and torn.
You left me alone,
Back where I was
With no one to share,

Fallen
My king you were, your queen I was.
Mesmerized, hypnotized...
Caught up in your web of lies.
Promised your word, your love, your life.
Gave me nothing but jewels ground into rubble.
My beatiful crown you knocked down, now it lies on the ground.
On my knees, I beg and plead.
By the slice of the sword, your dragon's released.
The fire, it burns, as I cry out to my king.
But you don't care if I rot.
My king you're not.
Banished me from my throne.
Now I'm a fallen disgrace.

Broken heart sick with lies.
Dark deception fills my eyes.

Faded Smiles
Autumn wind whispers through the air.
Bringing thoughts of you,
of the way it once was.
We laughed at the little things
no one else understood.
Our eyes smiled brightly,
filled with knowing and content.
We layed down together,
relaxing and sharing.
Storm clouds moved in.
Now my smiles are faded,
my laughter is done.
The cool wind still whispers secretly to me.
Tells me that it wishes I would smile again.

You Killing Me
Cold winter's night.
Ice covers ground.
Moon staring down.
I walk towards you as you walk to me.
We meet in the middle.
I reach for your hand.
You grab me and throw me onto the ground.
You stand above me, foot holding me down.
You look at me laughing as you're reaching down.
You rip out my heart and tear it to parts.
My eyes fill with tears as I watch you kill me.
Ice stained by blood is all I remember.
Now I'm in Heaven, where I hope it gets better.

Cauldron of Hate
Essence of anger drifts through the air,
like the aroma of some exotic elixir.
I reach for my neck as my throat grows tighter.
I choke on your words, you hypocrite liar.
"You're precious to me, I'll set you apart. Come with me, you'll see."
I did, now I'm fucked.
My thoughts lie here in squalor.
I'm disgustingly pained, sick through my guts.
Turmoil strangles my thoughts into rage.
I hate what you've done, that you played me for dumb.
You looked right in my eyes and fucked me with lies.
My cauldron of hate boils...

Let You Go
I've got to let you go now.
I'll miss you so much.
You're the one I thought I could trust.
I'll miss your laugh, your smile, your touch.
I'll miss hanging out, laughing and living.
Friends I have few, thought you were one.
Never would have guessed this of you.
I hurt so fucking bad.
One of the saddest days of my life.
I'm crying so hard,
uncontrollably trembling.
Used and confused,
like trash in a gutter.
I'm feeling Iike I might want to die.
This trial of life is nearly too much to bear.
Despite all the shit you just put...

The Owl & The Mouse
In the still of the night,
under a full summer moon's light,
an owl sat proud on the branch of a tree.
The owls feathers were the color of the first winter snow.
Long grasses below swayed gently in the breeze.
Crickets chirped to the warmth of the air.
The trickle of water could be heard to the west.
The owl perked up.
Wings opened wide.
The owl took to the sky.
Silent and stealthy, the owl dove down.
A mouse on the ground ran for its life.
It ran fast through the grasses.
Got caught up on some rocks.
Talons came down as...
