Ivy
Thought it was impossible
Maybe even debatable
that a mothers love could grow
Since it's inevitable
I wrote this song
'cause I wanted you to know
My love's like ivy
Growing higher
than the tallest tree

Imperfect vines sprouting
hundreds of leaves
My heartbeat goes on
even when I'm gone.
My heartbeat goes on
when you play this song
Few years have gone by
my beautiful baby girl
Had to teach you to be strong
in this cold frozen world
My little queen ...
Maybe even debatable

White Midnight
Tragically magical
each forward step in an infatuation
of purpose that leads closer and closer
to my altar of collaboration
a constant, dependable hour who
whispers a seductive caress
that lavishes my face
and dress made of lace
my own private silky twilight
so for midnight
I wear white
nothing affects me like the
heavy air of midnight
the vast motivation that inspires
me to create something, anything
to fill the endless void
something beautiful, maybe
something true, absolutely ...

Faceless
Lying here on
the sand again.
Dark all around
but I can hear the water
crashing down.
I'm no longer an ocean wave.
No more push or pull.
Trying hard to remember
everything I forgot.
But just like the moon
you're faceless now.
Never thought you'd fade.
So glad you stayed
away from me.
No longer a memory.
Your power dissolved so fast.
Like a shooting star
about to blast.
Trying hard to remember

Sunset
You made me rise the other day.
Listening to all the lies.
Man, I got better things to do
than listen to you.
Wanted to scream like a jet
but instead I'll fade out like
golden sunset.
I won't be dragged through
the mud again.
Got bloody nails dragging myself out.
This time it's crystal clear
what you're all about.
When you were hanging with
a snake. I knew then.
Didn't have to count to ten.
All the misspoken words
taken out of context.
Exaggerated emotions
were used like swords ...

than listen to you.

Lava Adrenaline
I'm sleeping in a comfortable slumber
wrapped tight in my silk comforter.
I feel my heart pound and begin
to race and I know
she just shot me up again
with Lava Adrenaline.
My muse is here.
Uninvited.
At the worse time.
But it makes no difference.
My brain has now morphed
into a floating mass of volcanic activity.
Waiting to be spelled, arranged,
erased, and replaced with this burst
of molten activity.
I feel it course down my neck
through my veins.
It swirls...

I'm looking around.
Trying to leave this town.
This place isn't safe.

Evolution Revolution
It's a dark night
and I'm hanging in air.
Like an eagle being still
anticipating a kill.
But this monster named fear
has his claws sunk into my back.
I need to break them off
it will turn my spirit black.
It's time to move my wings.
Shred into a flaming phoenix
to melt its claws.
Time to glide around mountains and
light up this onyx black sky.
Time to breath in pure fresh air.
I don't want this feeling to die.
I look ahead and see
flashes of silver lightning waiting for me.
Time to challenge myself again ...
and I'm hanging in air.

Should I take a taxi.
Maybe the subway.
No, I want to fly my way home.
So, take the tubes out of my mouth.
Slip the needle from my vein.
It won't take away my pain.

Pull me out.

Don't try and rescue me.
Don't drag me down.
I want to fly in the sky.
Go round and round.
Don't pull me back to
the ground.
They keep tugging on me.
I just want to be free.
This is hell.
Just an empty shell.
