Shudder
"I wince at what my life was, not what it could have been"
Everything I see around me
Is the world I once created
Not the one I can rebuild
The wounds left when I fell
Have yet to heal
So can I ask you for help?
Having a little trouble
Conversing in my head
I've been torn down repeatedly
From what I used to be
Confidence Ambition both allude me
I fight so hard to regain that luster
Used all the strength I can muster
Yet somehow the numbness takes affect
Left me with nothing, just an empty chest
The answers escape...
Everything I see around me
Is the world I once created

As I stare at him
Reaper's eyes
This is my demise
The moment change
Will change
Greatest victory or
Greatest defeat
If I can't stand up
It will be the end of me
Where is my strength?
The power I hide
He took it away
Along with my pride
Left nothing but a shell
A voided mess
Insurmountable stress
Fight of my life
Must alter the same
He calls my bluff
An expert in mind games
Relentless...

Void
"Billions of women in this world
But only one is my world"
The quest begins
For your replacement
The prototype
To the archetype
Of which my joy
Was built
The architect to
This temples brick
I've lost the one
The search is done
No point in moving on
The precedence has been set
The bar raised beyond reach
Prototypes lacking in varied degrees
Trying to quench what's empty
How do I complete the puzzle
When the last piece has left?
How do I complete the photo,
When I'm standing by myself...

Scope
I rid myself of denial
Center my core on peace
Look deep inside
Pull it out of me
I dwell way to long
It holds me back
I'm starting a new song
To get back on track
Take the passive
Make it aggressive
Give me the victory
And the spoils
There is no other choice
Glorious Triumph
Keep the drive
Stay fighting viciously
Ignore complacency
Rise above it
Eye of the tiger
Eye of a sniper
Set your goals
Aim two levels higher
Let that precision
Guide your vision
Shoot to kill it
Never forget it...
Center my core on peace

Wishful
As you walk away from my life for good
Tears are left where you stood
Past notions causing grief
Can't even stand on my feet
Remorse is king it's what I bleed
One more chance is all I need
One more hug one more breathe
I die inside with every step
You take from me
Can't you just love me one last time
Make it last forever then kiss me goodbye
Maybe I'm asking to much
God has punished me
By taking away your love
The painful path ahead
Is as imminent as knowing
Someday I'll be dead
This is gonna hurt ...

Evolution
Journey back to when it was fresh
Our first road trip thru Texas
The stage was set
For something special that night
From the warm hot tub
To the heavy moonlight
Looking to the sky
I know the time is now
I've had this urge before
But always chickened out
Fearless is where I need to be
I won't let this slip by
Because this is that story
Ill tell our kids at bedtime
Her touch was electric

When I'm alone reflection
Cited the right direction
I go back to times
Back to read all the signs
In the event I never feel full
Your heart is what keeps
Me pure

I stand face to face
With myself
Staring at nothing else
This is what I am
All that I can be
Mediocrity
Looking around this room
It's only me
Left behind
Fate has failed me
Along this life
Smiles cannot hide
The remorse I feel
Everyone's moving on
I'm standing still
In To Deep
Even on my feet
This life isn't where
It should be
It's been cast aside
For all eternity
Disembodied
From enjoyment
Severed from success
That's the annoyance ...
With myself
Staring at nothing else
This is what I am
All that I can be

The immensity
Of this intensity
Has shaken this world loose
I said goodbye that day
It really wasnt true
See I cannot comprehend
To you this magnitude
But to do it all again
Is what I want to do
Music chills the mind
It dissolves the stress
Meditate on this line
Then follow the rest
I need you...
This whole extremity
In its simplicity
Is everything
In its entirety
You have not faded away
Still very prescent
Don't read into it
Just see the message
To escape...
Of this intensity
Has shaken this world loose

Farewell
It's a shame this came to an end
That there is this distance
But I have all the hope as you
That we may meet again
Though she is unforgiving
In wishing you were gone
I cant help accepting
This rare thing we've lost
Though life is not fair
It's back on track like yours
