The strength and density of denial

Inner faith
Seems pointless to give love another try
every attempt leaves a bitter aftertaste
safe to say someone will eventually cry
another memory I'm gonna want erase
These efforts seem to drain my spirits low
siphoning straight out from the soul's fuel
I'm running on empty with a long way to go
to run out of gas now would be oh so cruel
I can only hope my endurance remainsl
this search for bliss is a punishing chore
adding more stress to the heart's pains
I feel like love’s used up rejected whore
Yet, I can feel the faith...

Lucky stars
Been searching for such a long time
looking for a woman exactly like you
it’s now becoming a little sublime
suddenly we know what we should do
This relationship is quite a blessing
'cause love seems impossible to find
and as our bond keeps us progressing
solace is found with our stars aligned

Cupid sold me a lemon
Every time I take it out for a ride
feels like it's veering out of control
wrecked it before and thought I died
'twas just a banged-up heart and soul
I just need it to run one last trip
but some roads could shake it apart
bumps and turns can cause it to flip
I want a damn warranty for my heart!

She's complicated; he's drunk and stupid
These two were not endorsed by cupid
”Why haven't you paid our rent yet?!”

I don't understand the many innuendos sent by you
and the texting between us didn't give me a single clue
I missed one when you acted as if a relationship's a curse
your damn head games made everything become a lot worse!
so I'm worth a few fucks, but not good enough to be your fate?

Freedom of speech
Our precious freedom of speech; it’s an American way
but, be careful when expressing what you want to say
it's a crime if you offend others in the land of the free
censorship and political correctness is just a lobotomy!
a questionable topic will bring chaos to a feeble mind
you might even cause some people to go fuckin' blind!
blinded by their own damn ignorance, denials or hate
so just be prepared to cripple when telling it straight
but, be careful when expressing what you want to say
