I don’t need validation or sympathy, I need help. I want to become a better poet. I really want other poets to tear apart my work and tell me what I need to do to improve.
I have a cognitive dysfunction that makes my memory recall extremely difficult both long term and short term. Writing is the only thing that helps but I want to get much better at it. Writing helps with the parts that are closed off and will be closed off. I’ve read a lot of poetry and respect everything that I see and I aspire to improve.
I put in my bio that I’m not giving up and I’m not. I do have a lot to say.
I’m just asking if you could stop by and help me out.

Salutations, I guess. I've gotten here googling "where to post written lyrics". Around August 2019, having had little to put my time into, being bored and somewhat into English, I started to rhyme. First portions written were pathetic, IMO. Then I was listening to some of Eminem's stuff and some other rap tunes. At some point I kicked off something that has been gradually growing in size and quality and seems like a pile of rap lyrics (not like today's ones being boastful and materialistic). Since that, besides the one mentioned, I wrote several poems/rhyming pieces.

Hello, I'm new here. You can call me Haymi, or Hay. I was searching through the internet for motivational poems and I found myself here, and I'm glad I did. No one in my family and friends really appreciate poetry as much as I do, I think they don't get why words can be so beautiful and interesting to me, so finding this site is such a blessing. I really like poetry, written some myself but never read by anybody except me. I know I'm not yet as good, so I'd like to learn much from the other poetry, and be motivated to write.
