Algol is known as the "Demon Star" because it is also associated with Horus the Elder & the Eye of Ra in Ancient Egypt, the Gorgon Medusa in Greek and the Ghoul in Pre-Islam Arabia. Arab astronomers took note of its eccentric variations, hence the name Al-Ghoul, the demon. Ras means head in Arabic so Ras AlGhoul = head of demon. Its symbol is Medusa represented by her severed head, carried by Perseus.
It is an eclipsing binary; every 68 hours and 49 minutes this Demon Star ‘blinks’ for roughly 8 hours. Fortunately – if that’s the right word for this aspect – it is a quick transit, while the outcome of what happens may reverberate for years, if not longer.
The story of Medusa is a tragic and sad one. Cursed by Athena for being raped by Poseiden, Medusa was banished to a lonely island and cursed that no man would look upon her. With cracked skin, madness, snake hair, and eyes that turned men to stone, she became known as a monster.
Afterall, the world we live in is notorious for patriarchal values awarding hero status to men, while demeaning women. The world is full of examples – the media, the halls of government, our next-door neighbor. Greek mythology is no different, and thus portrays Athena as cruel and heartless, having no compassion for Medusa's plight.
With Mars symbolizing aggression and Uranus symbolizing rebellion, take care against sudden outbursts of tempers and guard against negative reactions, ours or those of others. Uranus is filled with surprises, so intense and shocking events may be birthed from this alignment. If there are any malefic intentions in the works, they will most likely be revealed at this time.
With the Moon also in the Heart of the Scorpion during this conjunction, we are apt to feel everything to the nth degree. What is hidden deep in the shadows may be brought to light. This is not necessarily a negative circumstance, but a positive one regardless of what it outwardly appears. It's virtually impossible to resist or engage with the unseen, but the seen gives us presence to combat any darkness.
According to Peter Stokinger, the Latin Picatrix, as well as Agrippa von Nettesheim in his Three Books on Occult Philosophy, inform us that during the Moon's transit through Scorpio's mansion, it is a good time to create a talisman "...to make serpents and all venomous creatures flee from the place where it is buried"...
To construct the talisman, "... make a bronze image of an adder holding its tail above its head and suffumigate with the horn of a stag. Maybe this will help to repel the negative effects of this conjunction, or at least soften its impact...
If you have planets or angles close to 26 degrees in fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius), you're going to feel the effects of this conjunction more intensely in the form of mood swings, restlessness, and disrupted sleep.
On a global and atmospheric scale, Uranus has been associated with earthquakes and severe lightning storms, while Mars is associated with combat and uprisings. But on the positive note, Uranus also represents sudden realization and epiphanies without a process of reason, birthing futuristic ideas and innate understanding. Mars also heralds strength and courage which can prompt us into taking chances we wouldn't otherwise take.
The main thing to remember with this conjunction is that everything works for our good. Sagittarius is known throughout the zodiac as the astrological sign who flits through life aside Lady Luck as a companion. That's because they always seem to be in the right place at the right time. Many astrologers claim they have the gift of providence because luck protects them.

Astraea in Mythology
In Greek Mythology, Astraea, also known as the Star Goddess or Maiden, was renowned as the virgin god of justice, innocence, purity, and precision. She was beloved by the Greeks and thought to represent the Light in the world during what scholars have referred to as 'The Golden Age'.
The Golden Age ( Age of Innocence ) was one of the five Ages of Man in the old Greek religion. In mythology, the ages represented the history of human existence and its subsequent deterioration. Astraea came to symbolize humanity's fall and the hope that a new age of innocence would return.
As to her origins, there are differing stories; however, the widest accepted is that she herself is a descendant of the Titans. According to Hesiod’s Theogony, her father was the second-generation TITAN, Astraeus, the astrological GOD OF DUSK. Her mother was EOS, the goddess of the dawn.
Astrea in Virgo
According to Ovid, Astraea abandoned the earth and ascended to heaven to become the constellation Virgo. Both Astrea and Virgo are endowed with the same qualities, which makes Astrea's natural home Virgo.
Virgo's true origins in Greek mythology reflect Astraea, the goddess of innocence and justice; thus, many believe they are one in the same. To know Astrea is to know Virgo's earthly qualities, and to know Virgo is to know Astrea's heavenly qualities.
This is a beautiful transit that can contribute to the overall collective of humanity.
On the outside, Virgos may appear calm but underneath that meticulous structure is a nervous system prone to restless intensity. Some astrologers reflect that this restlessness mirrors Astrea's abandonment of the earth to create the constellation Virgo due to the evil nature of man that had permeated across the planet.
Virgo desires peace and calm. It desires all things that Astrea worked for during the golden age of man: perfection. There's a ceaseless drive in Virgo to accomplish this impossible task. Unlike Astrea, who, as a goddess was able to flee the earth, Virgo is earthbound with an emotional disposition to bring order out of chaos.
Both Astrea and Virgo have a beautiful propensity for love, love alone isn't what makes them happy. They must justify their lives as a ledger reflecting profit or loss. While they can be ambitious, their ultimate desire is to accumulate the wisdom needed for practical use that benefits humankind as a collective.
While this goddess and astrological sign symbolize virginity, a prudish attitude or lack of sensuality is not in the cards. They can be very sensual when they desire to be. They are not in the game of life to selfishly take from others, but to impart their higher motive to be of use.
The symbol of both Virgo and Astrea is a virgin holding a sheaf of wheat which is transformed into bread to provide humanity. This is taking what has been sown through sowing that is now fully ripened ( wisdom, knowledge, and skills ) to use for the benefit of everyone.
In essence this transit can influence our intensions in such a way that we desire to utilize the gifts we were born with to nourish humankind. With the combined intelligence and intentions of these dual aspects ( heaven and earth ) our goals can be those of lofty giving combined with a physical diligence and an attention to detail that accomplishes those goals.
In order to do that to the fullest, we may need to trust synchronicity through an increased faith that fortuitous events, people, and connections happen for reasons we may not fully comprehend. When we feel heavy look up to Astrea in the heavens as a reminder of what can be accomplished. And if we feel scattered or our thoughts are lost, wandering in the clouds, look to Virgo for grounded practicality and a solid plan to get things done.

The ancient horoscope is not surprising, what is surprising is that 4,000 years ago, the calculations on the papyrus took into account the star Algol in the constellation Perseus. The Egyptians had managed to describe its behavior 3,000 years before it was discovered. While observing the star from Earth without the use of technology is impossible.
My theory: It's a future us returning to ourselves after discovering a way to time-travel.
