This world needs healing; therefore, I can only pray, hearts and united minds find possible ways to expand these goals to better humanity. Reach one teach one, always.

A timely reminder ... actually always timely ... only humans destroy their natural habitat ... it's a sick & ignorant habit dating back to Roman times, and even before

Nils Lofgren's "Cry Tough" ... probably it's been posted already somewhere on this thread ... maybe even by me, can't remember ... but here it is anyway:

My poet, as I travel around the globe for leisure or when I was going for Bachelor's Degree for life skills to earn college credits years ago, I am becoming to realize, people just want to exist in peace, to reap the benefits of their hard work and dedication, or simply remain to be left alone, but with Mother Nature, she is more pronounced, where we tend to ravish her influences; air, water, fire. We are destroying the rain forest, the Icebergs is melting, we are dipping in the sea or polluting it with poisonous chemical spills, drilling within fertile soil for minerals, yet using it in a selfish way, such as lost limbs and child labor digging for those conflict diamonds in third world countries, I have seen the atrocities of that, years ago and that sight still remains with me here today. It has gotten better, thank goodness.
Thank you for allowing me to hear your beautiful thoughts, knowing we are all in this realm we call life together.

Thank you for your reply SKC; I always found that MJ song very powerful. And you are right, where I live in very rural central Portugal, generations of small farmers have lived in close relationship to the land; there's virtually no police presence, no parking meters and definitely no surveillance cameras. And guess what, people left alone do indeed get on with their lives in peace, helping each other, working very hard, yet having the freedom and satisfaction harvesting the benefits from their own land - including having their own olive oil (we do too from 70 olive trees), making their own wine, etc, etc. It's the right to self-determination free from undue influence of tyrannical politics. It is slowly closing in but compared to U.K/Holland/Germany/Switzerland it still feels pretty free. Long may it continue. And more and more people are moving back to the land, buying up derelict quintas, and breathing new life into them through their own sweated labour. I take it as a sign of hope amidst all the other destructive trends.

From a spirited poetess to a benevolent poet, I personably dedicate this song to you, with poetic love, admiration, and always, humbling respect...
Enjoy your evening in all its splendid glory.

Wow, what a serendipitous choice. I'm currently in Germany with my wife (check out VeronikaB for her new project on DUP) for her brother's wedding last week-end, and this very song/video (at the end of a 'fairy-tale' account of how the happy couple met) was used as the "flash dance" signal for all the wedding guests to get up and dance. It worked a treat.

“It’s a universal song to bring humanity together and I am thankful it brought back such a touching reminisce in time and thank you for the admission of that.”🙏🏼
