* The Meditation Room *

Ahavati said:This is one of the strangest combinations I have ever drawn; I was like, whaaaa. . . .and almost thought I needed to reshuffle, resage, or, resomething. But I opted to stick it out and I'm glad I did!
Card one: #39 DARK BROWN: Material Wealth
Color Meaning: Dark Brown is all about material security and the accumulation of material possessions. It is sophisticated and elegant. It has a serious side, yet is comforting and reliable in nature.
Do you want to creat material wealth in your life? Abandance and prosperity are manifesting now. Hold the vision of wealth and take necessary action to manifest this reality.
How to Use: Dark Brown is a neutral color that pairs well with every other color.
Rooms: Any room in the house or office.
Affirmation: I only reveal what is absolutely necessary at this time.
Card Two: #30 MAGENTA: Universal Love
Meaning: Magenta represents universal love. It generates acceptance, tolerance, and patience. It uplifts the spirit and promotes compassion and kindness, creating happiness, contentment, and appreciation for what you have. It helps move things forward and release old emotional patterns.
Do you want to have universal love and acceptance? Know that we are all here to live out our own soul's journey. We are one with each other. There is no separation.
How to Use: Magenta pairs well with neutral colors, orange, golden yellow shades, green, and blue. Too much magenta can trigger depression and despair in some people and may not be good for introverts and those with chronic depresssion.
Rooms: Living room, bedroom, craft room, and spiritual room.
Affirmation: I love and accept myself and others for who and what we are.
So I was initially confused by this reading because I couldn't understand how Universal Love could block material weath ( though I could certainly understand how material wealth could block Universal Love ). However, in reviewing I can certainly see how a LACK of Universal Love can block the manifestation of material wealth. I hear that all the time from those attempting to co-create their own reality, but have no idea why it's not working.
There is no Love without trust, and without trust there is no nurturing relationship for possibility to manifest. The more you love and open to the Universe, the more you begin to trust. And, in turn, manifest what your heart desires, be it material wealth, love, wisdom, anything.
Sure, you can accumulate material wealth on your own; however, without Universal Love it typically evolves into greed: the shadow side of prosperity. ( Prosperity meaning abundance in the spiritual as well as the physical within the realm of Universal Love. ) Universal Love prevents the Love of Money, which is the root of all evil.
May each person discover their own unique relationship with Universal Love and acquire Material Wealth through the abundance and gratitude of its divine blessing. xo
^ An excellent reading that makes perfect sense.
For quite a long period, I was somewhat estranged in my relationship with the Universe. Through my own actions, of course. If I had an abundance of anything, it was mouths to feed and bodies to shelter. That situation has changed a little for the better in recent years after doing away with some personal baggage and being on better terms with the U.

Ahavati said:Okay! What. A. Day. so far! I've been preparing for my solstice offering tonight! If anyone would like to perform the below ritual, the instructions follow:
Supplies:
1) Orange ( cut top off and gauge out the pulp. Make sure to eat the pulp to honor the orange. I think mine was one of the most delicious oranges I have ever eaten! )
2) candle
3) salt & cinnamon
4) Pine cone ( a symbol for wisdom, enlightenment, and harmony with nature. Because it is sensitive to light, it's a symbol of winter ) If you cannot find a pine cone, then use pine needles, or a bit of dirt ( it's the intention that matters ).
5) bark, sage, sweet grass, spices, etc. ( this is a personal preference ).*
6) A strip of paper
* Notation: Anything you take from nature, unless it's already been offered by nature ( fallen leaves, twigs, branches, anything on the ground ), you need to ask permission, and leave something in return ( tobacco or cornmeal ).
Instructions:
• Cut and hollow out the orange ( be sure to eat the pulp to honor the orange - that is very important ).
• Write a wish on the strip of paper; fold it and place it in the orange. It becomes a natural vessel for your intention.
• Sprinkle salt on it while imagining your wish has already come true.
• Sprinkle spice blend you've chosen over the salt ( except for the cinnamon.
• Sprinkle the sweetness of cinnamon over the spice blend.
• Pour wax from your candle over all of it to seal the wish and intention.
• In a glass bowl, put the bark, pinecone/s, needles, etc. in the bottom. This will become your kindling. Set the orange in the bowl atop the kindling.
• Set the bowl on your designated solstice altar for a few hours.
• Transfer everything to a burning pot whenever you're ready; take it outside and light it. With the spices and herbs you selected, not to mention the cinnamon, it should smell like a divine offering of intentions on this auspicious occasion!
• You could even cleanse yourself by taking a nice salt bath before offering. That's where I'm headed!
The above collage:
Left: I stepped outside my door tonight to gather pine needles and miniature pine cones and this * tree * was lying right beside my porch, on the pine needles. So, yeah, you don't need to be a rocket scientist to get that! I put a hold in the middle of the bark I found last week, and it stands perfectly as a tree with everything I need. I put the paper towels behind it so you could see it better.
Top Right:
The Orange fully sealed.
Bottom Right:
On the altar purifying through selenite, white candles, and crystals, particularly rose quartz for love; labradorite for protection of your aura and to prevent energy leakages; adventurine to release mental, physical, and spiritual blockages; aragonite for grounding, and so forth ( use according to your own wishes and needs ).
I wish you each a very happy solstice and blessed great conjunction!
Namaste! xo
Nice! Namaste.

i wake up when i want to. i drink my medication
step outside for a cigarette.
notice the weather.
once a week, i clean. I’d do it more but it’s satisfying to let entropy set in before giving everything a smack with a dust cloth.
when my stomach is uneasy i drink nettles.
when i want to know the future i throw stones.
if a bird taps on my window i leave him meat on the sill.
if i want to bless someone, i make them a candle and burn it.
if i want to curse someone, i speak their name and throw dirt.
if i want to cure someone, i look it up on google.

LOL! I choked on my lime water at the last sentence, anna!
Love your routine and ritual. Each person has a unique one in accordance to their own personal intuition. Where people screw up is trying to be like someone else vs listening to themselves.
You are and always have been a unique voice at DU that I have enjoyed greatlyl. xo
Johnny and Harry: Thank you! ❤

simple easy rituals:
for wealth: bury a coin beneath a tree. as long as that tree lives, your coin will be returned to you times three. you must visit your tree often.
for good health: a cup of tea. drink as many times throughout the day as you like.
for a hangover: mint tea.
for love: write a letter. make it completely honest. never give it to the person. if they are to see it, you risk losing them.

yes- i used to berate myself for not being able to follow others rituals until i realised the reason I was ‘failing’ was because it didn’t feel right for *me*
glad to have made you spit your drink out 😂 I’m a firm believer in old traditions working with, and not against, modern medicine

BraVO! And, yes! A thousand times yes! It's a balanced marriage, much like science and religion!
I love the old ways, and am so drawn to them. Not just a particular way either, but many ways: Indigenous ( not just Native Americans, but Māori, etc ), Asian ( China, Japanese, etc. ) gypsies, Ancient Egypt ( especially ), pagan, Christ consciousness ( not to be confused with mainstream christianity ) faith healing, old wive's tales ( I've used many successfully, just a plethora of knowledge that seems to entwine and connect at the roots.
Thank you for sharing this. I had actually forgotten about the coin; I am in the process of clearing a space to a 250 year old pine oak outside of my bedroom window. I am so very connected to it that it inspired a NaPo one year. My neighbor tried to have it cut down, citing that it could fall; I fought the hell out of it. If I die by that tree falling, so be it. It was a good day to die!

fight for the trees, they can’t fight back much less run away
i love especially the Irish mythology because muh heritage, but I’ve looked into it and going a long, long way back there was cross cultural contamination and international trade and exchanging of stories and legends and plants and medicines and metals and things you wouldn’t believe
did you hear they found large amounts of cocaine in Egyptian mummies? which is thought impossible since coca never grew in ancient Egypt
(edit: I’m aware that smuggling drugs in mummies is a thing but they found this in the hair and skin samples indicating that they actually were taking the drug, they also found tobacco, which was also grown outside of egypt i forget where)
did you know there was a population of fair skinned red headed celts living in Italy? and dark skinned Arabic-looking Irish citizens
i enjoy the thought that there were never such firm delineations between cultures as we imagine and that paves the way for a more chaotic intuitive approach

I will ALWAYS fight for the trees, anna. I have an affinity with them, but particularly this one. I feel it watches me through the window when I work, and over me when I sleep. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a dryad close by.
No; I had not read about the cocaine, but that is fascinating, and apparently we don't know everything about the chemical makeup of certain properties.
I had read ( or heard? ) about the Celts in Italy, but I don't think I've heard about the Arabic Irish citizens. I'll have to reseach and brush up. It's fasinating.
I believe all medicine stemmed from a central source and evolved as it grew out, just like our blood types did to adapt to changing environments of migration and climate.

Thank you for the information, Blackwolf. It briefly perused it, and will do so more in depth in the future when quiet time permits. This is the season!

·͙*̩̩͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩̥͙ ✩ Christmas Eve Oracle ✩ *̩̩̥͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩͙‧͙ .
No. 39. The Threshold: Kuan Yin Oracle
At the Threshold you stand. BEfore you lies a way of being that is beyond fear. It is a scared passing through a karmic veil into a new life of empowerment, peace, and spiritual service to humanity and joy in your own soul.
Congratulations! You are embarking on a phase of deepest soul liberation, into freedom of love that triumphs over fear. It has been quite a journey. Many, many lifetimes and much inner work has been required for you to be able to perceive the light of the divine even underneath the desnsity of fear. You are fast approaching the karmic threshold where you can shift from fear-based to love-based embodiment.
This is a sacred and important time where it is wise to surround yourself with those that are able to support you in this love-based reality. In the near future you will be able to sustain your vibration even amongst beings that are based in fear, then you will be of even greater service to life, love, and divine power on this planet.
Sometimes there can be a deep testing on the Threshold. This is not an exam to be afraid of, but an opportunity to realise your development and to be really secure on a firm inner spiritual foundation before moving forward in your Soul service to others through how you live and be on this planet. It is no use in preparing to assist others on a higher scale in moving from fear to love if you are still making the transition yourself. Let yourself establish in the new vibratio then your ability to help others will increase naturally with much grace, assistance, and effortlessness.
And well done, Beloved! There is much love and celebration in the spiritual worlds about this shift for you. Remember that the only defence ever needed, no matter what the apparent fear or thread, is unconditional love in the heart, which allows for compassion and detachment. You are safe and you are quickening in your readiness to pass the threshold. Your journey is truly blessed.
Much Love, Peace, and Happiness this Christmas Eve to you each. 🎄🕯🔮🙏💙
