I'll start this thread off with a shout-out to my friend, Cabcool, who just took the top prize in the JCDC (Jamaica Cultural Development Comssom) Creative Writing Competition!

I am deeply humbled yet exhilarated by this unanticipated achievement. To think that I should be the best overall writer in a field of over one hundred competitors is, indeed, an awesome feeling. The Creative Writing contest comprises poetry, novel, play, short story, and essay. A mounted exhibition will be taken around the island to all thirteen parish libraries over the next six months.
