What is considered as a real friend?
Seems to me that both of you have still a lot of growing up to do.
I just can't understand why do we have to put labels on people. we love who we love. we like who we like.. we will meet people and we will loose them, by deatg or other means. You will be hurt, but that's ok. think of it as acrucible. don't think ill of her, if you feel she was at one time had became your friend then she was. it is your feeling that mattters. and if you feel that the friendship is over, then be done with it. who knows, someday soon, things will be better and you'll find yourself with her again, both of you different already... but till then.. mourn. you are in grief and you are vulnerable. Don't close doors. just stay inside for a while. when you are ready, let someone in again, maybe it is a different person or maybe its the same. cheer up, everything will come to pass.

What is a friend ? a friend is someone who's good for a laugh . You dance and laugh together . A best friend is someone who holds you when you cry who worrys more about you then what you can do for them .the first are to steal a phrase a dime a dozen .the second is irreplaceable

A friend apologizes when he is wrong, and praises you when you are right
A friend finds common ground
A friend will help you roll your joints/blunts
A friend takes a piece of you, which is why the more friends you have, the less you have of yourself.

Friends don't exist

Hmmm I've had my best friend since the first year of high school so this is the 10th year he's been my best bud. We have nearly all the same interests, we know each other inside out, we're there for each other, associate with each other regularly & just finding ourselves through life knowing we have at least one true friend in each other. We've lost so many "true" friends through the drug scene so we dis-attached ourselves from a few of our other friends & it hurt seeing them fall down the wrong road but we knew that we had to cut ties because they weren't going to change for us.
On the terms of my girl best friend. She's been through so much stress lately, exams, revision, going through a complicated relationship where she's getting her heart played with, work, she's suffered from depression before & on meds. She thinks she has bipolar & so do I she's totally different every day but every version of her I adore to bits. I am there every single day for her, I just say never be afraid to open up to me... just let it all out. We'll talk about anything because at the end of the day I care for you so much & will try to be your rock. She scares me because she'll talk about not wanting to live anymore but I put things into perspective for her. I'll tell her that she's young with all her life to live, so much of the world to see, a whole life ahead of her. I'll say I won't let a boy who doesn't value your feelings destroy you. I'll also say that I'll take her to Bali to clear her mind, pursue a dream & get away from the BS for the time being (Bali is her dream location & she has nobody to travel with).
She does appreciate it because she's told me
- "You're the only one I can open up to, nobody see's this side of me"
- "You just get me, you're such a good listener, you don't judge & are understanding"
- "You're the only person who makes me feel special these days"
- "I don't have many things in life that I value but just know you're one of them"
I need to be there for her... I don't know any girl like her, she's one of a kind. Such a special girl
I just think real friends have some sort of connection that always pulls through.
P.S this isn't me saying "look at me I'm such a good friend" It's just pointing out the things I think are righteous of me to do when I care for her so much.
