#14 Siren and the Nymph

ECLIPSE UNDER CURRENT

Ebony petals against faded ivory
Two fragrance in twin agony
One as dark as one as bright
Half exists in daylight the other at night.
The moon and the sun will soon align
And one would fade behind
Solar nor Lunar, neither is desired
For Harmony would be in dire
Heart divided and held on either's hand
Man's desire of two beauties, a pleasure weigh at hand
Side by side no haze in between
The waves of time in two currents as one
When the siren and the nymph meets and collide
Don't swim under two spells at once
The dream and the fantasy is no hope you'll see
But a drowning to the abyss of a never ending eclipse.

Longing

lurking in the shadows
I slip along the shore
lost in things
remembered
from days
that came before

gazing at the water
and the sparkle
of the tide
adorned in pearls
and diamonds
reflected in the ocean
of my eyes

a simple dance
upon the sands
a whirl beneath the sun
stolen magic hidden
my freedom then undone

the years I’ve spent
in his arms
in his bed
his ever dutiful wife
would fade away
in an instant
could I restore my life

longing with each heartbeat
to return home again
to feel the silky bubbles
caressing me as I swim
if I can once more
find my beloved skin

#14 Siren and Nymph

Drowning

She immersed me in
baptismal fonts of brine and
herring, while the salts
laked water from my
cells, drawing
my soul into the depths.

Waters replace air in
lungs, too fluid to collapse,
and I am free--

drowned in Neptune's land
to the clinking applause of
calcified shells like
bones of a smirking
Voodoo Queen, saying

"I have you now..."

#14 - Song  (my example, not an entry)
(a Pantoum)

A note from deep within rewrites our song,
That from above in cloudless sky rains down.
All senses come alive before too long,
Electrified from daybreak to sundown.

That from above in cloudless sky rains down,
The first sound that I hear is but a taste.
Electrified from daybreak to sundown,
To multiply and drench me in your haste.

The first sound that I hear is but a taste,
To what you'll bring to me in thunder's roll.
To multiply and drench me in your haste,
And further drown me as my lover's soul.

For what you'll bring to me in thunder's roll,
Can more than equal others' want of me.
And further drown me as my lover's soul
To match & raise the stakes to keep me free.

Can more than equal others' want of me,
All senses come alive before too long.
To match & raise the stakes to keep me free,
A note from deep within rewrites our song.

The Sea Trick

In symphonic kiss release
Of echo o o o oooh
And round cupids bubble exhale
Of fishy lipped
And irredescent flipped
The sultry mer music go o o o oooes
The flash of flipper
She produces
As she swims around the many many
Mer dudes she seduces
Shines in wet eyes like a glint of sun
And drives their homeric harmony
To suicide pitch ecstasy
She then gathers them in her fish nets
Fillet a diddle dee deeee...
And sells them body and soles
To chicken of the sea
Sea ee ee eeee ee Eeeee!!!!

MadameLavender, so glad you could make it with life being full for you these days... and thank you so much for your contribution to the competition!

Of course, I know I'm trying not to expect a lot from you, but IF, during the rest of the competition, you decide to submit a 2nd entry before the deadline, you won't get an argument from me. *blushes*  --Jade

the white shell

there it was
why did I pick it up,
I don't collect,
I don't give a damn
about a stupid shell
but then why?

why did I pick it up?

pour some water,
into my soul
I'm stranded in the sand
the torrid sun melts my body
to flow into your cold heart
take me in your hands
please pour me gently
into the depth of you
hold me to your ears
hear my cry
hear my song"

there she was
wearing a white silk
revealing her curves
raven hair
covered the eyes
violet lips
whispered the lies

will you find me,
in the depths of the blues
through deep chasms
will you find me,
in the haze of hues
into the darkness
will you find me?"

yes I will...

Picture #5 mer lovers

UNDERWATER WORLD

we find each other in sea spells
in waves of wishes and whispers
in our sensuous underwater world

where we play in pearlescent aqua
dancing together as mer lovers do
within shades of jade and azure

hungry lips kiss in divine bliss
as longing arms find heaven

spiralling upward in desire
our tails entwined forever

the corals dance tenderly
mirror a rhythm of rapture

we let our spirits drift away
losing ourselves in turquoise

flocks of sea butterflies flutter by
the dolphins cry a mystifying hymn
while we swim and submerge in lust

our souls set free in the realm of sea
releasing everything we used to be
in the depths of the aquamarine
