For You I Tear

It fucken thickened and tightened
My heart hard heard that you were
Gone going time timber the universe
Took tough care of you when alive.
I your alibi, elbows rubbing wrapping
Up happiness robbing life of it's air
Warning the world waiting wanting
To wear a non weary look for the world.
Without tough weather tougher times
Always prevail probably against my
Privileged pride. Pardon my tears, a
Treasure a Tuesday heaviness harnessed,
Took away that happiness, now I tear.

BEREAVEMENT

We can't control the things we see
These feelings we feel, or waves in the sea
After my death, this became apparent to me

After long years of desired relief
I found it harder, and harder to see
All the stress, and all the guilt
Washed away, pill by pill
Until the effect wasn't enough
The devil started calling my bluff
He stated in a dream, he is just like me
A caring, considerate, man of belief

The lust I had for you is gone,
Be glad you finally proved me wrong
The death of me is like the sea
I'll never be steady enough to be free

Winner decided, congratulations KittyFromHell for your most interesting take on bereavement, broadening the very roots of the emotion. Where death of self in a toxic relationship could bereave just as death of a loved one, or abandonment.

Miss_Sub, your piece was definitely a journey into the convalescence of kindred spirits, affected by loss very much the same. It was honestly a work of art.

David_Macleod, out of them all, I think I felt yours the strongest, like the hastened scrawling of someone almost maddened by the loss of a child, the most heart-wrenching form of bereavement, and one that can be felt as thunder upon a silent landscape.

Again, I appreciated every entry, and I'm saddened that I cannot offer trophies to more than one, because this was incredibly difficult.
