I can feel the sun on my back and it
feels so familiar
feels like your warm fingers
trailing down my spine,
warming me.
I grew into you and you
kept me warm and strong.
You disappeared behind a cloud
and you warmed her instead.
I wilted and wilted,
and waited for the rainy season to end.

Ok --sorry I was late getting this one closed--got busy at work...lol.. anyway, congrats to Gypsy Rose! (First trophy too!) Very nice imagery on your poem, and makes the reader want to go walking through fields on a sunny day. Tim--great reminder of simpler times, and Grace, great job as always--made the reader feel as if they were right there inside your poem.
Thanks everyone for writing, great job !
