The sweetness of memories we've shared..
The tracks we ran,
The hiding spots we found
The secrets we spilled
in moments of perceived
perfectness...
These become my motivating
force of motion...
not emotions..those are on hold
That sweetness is now bestowed
on those closest to you...
The running is now done with
more intent to create the perfect
time..
them time to spill
those secrets...
the ones you perceived as perfect
yeah perfectly formed spears...
driving right at the hearts
the hearts of those lovely little members
of you...
Yeah...that sweetness gets you doesn't it!

Once upon a time
I loved my best friend.
She was gorgeous.
She was smart.
I'd protected her from everything.
I couldn't watch her get hurt,
It'd pain me too much.
I thought she loved me,
And I loved her more than me.

One day we sat,
I a high school nerd.
Today was no different
Than any other lunch,
Except my brother had noticed her-
And scooped her
Under his arm.

I was fuming.
Angry with them both!
Then one day they got married,
And then his baby she carried.

I thought up a plan so sinister-
I had to make her heart hurt.
So, I went after her little sister!

if i may no offence to eanybody why not the first 16 to enter because if there are 5 winners will the pairs idea still work but instead 16 turns to 8 then 4 n then its the final

if i may(no offence to eanybody) but why not 16 instead of 10 becase there will be 5winners n the pairs wont work eany mor but 16 becomes 8 then 4 n then th final 2

i'm not offended Simon, makes sense to me.  maybe that's not what Dirt was goin for
relative to the results.

Dirt ... What Simon suggests makes very good sense if you're looking to make this an elimination match so to speak.  Starting with 16 writers makes it easier to work down to a final two.  Other numbers mean giving someone a pass (bye) in a round.  

To insure 16, I'd say PM a few of the more regular writers on the site, and or those you subscribe to.

With that said, I need to get writing ...
