A TO Z IN REVERSE

poet Anonymous

Poetry Contest

jUST LIKE THE TITLE STATES
This may seen a little copy cat or corny whatever but I thought it would be interesting. You all are failure with the A to Z challenges. Do the same only in reverse. Pretty self explanatory.

Two weeks
Two entries per poet
Have fun

Totally interested. Does it need to be each word? or is each line acceptable?

poet Anonymous

Each line will be fine. Sorry I did not clarify.

zest for life gone
yesterday’s tomorrow, repeats today
xenogenic thoughts build in my head,
while I watched the dread fill up my chest
vulnerable,
unable to deal with any of it
this black plague of anxiety
slicing my throat to bloody shreds
razors dance across aching skin
quietly, in my sleep,
psychotic dreams kill me again
once again tears of anguish streamed down my cheeks
no safe place for myself to hide anymore
my wounds were bleeding when I awoke
left alone, with no safe place,
keep my insecurities in check
jagged and sharp thoughts
infection to my psyche
hallucinations illuminate upon my darkened heart
grinding pain that never ends
frozen fear, whispered words
ensuing panic attack
Destiny becomes clear
crimson stains upon satin sheets,
black pain flows from a darkened place
and I watched the blood fill up my lungs

I don't mind. Very nice so far. Thanks for the jump.

Zebra stripes across my skin
Yellow ones from times past
X-rated fantasies
Wanting more
Vacant eyes
Under thier spell
Trembling limbs
Sensual desires
Ravaged bodies
Quilted restraints
Painted latex
Ohhhhh
Naughty Noises
Moaning loudly
Kinky play
Juicy kisses
Intellegent conversation
Hot and cold toys
Gloves of leather
Flogging hips
Erotic sensations
Dominant one
Canes on bottoms
Bound with rope
Amazing

Zinfandel red wine dead flat,
years from its prime, still
x marks the sweet spot
where the heart lies most
vulnerable to the vagrant's
unwavering demands
to steal away my spent
semblance of soul
ridding me of inked
quill to express
pains not fit for mad dogs
or Englishmen proud ,
never mind worst enemies
mired in the pieces of mind
lodged in recesses
kept under lock and key
just out of reach.
In spite I wrestle myself
high on unpronounceables
guaranteed to blow
fucking smoke out my ass
even as I make nice with whores
desperate to sell me shit
cause I'm the sucker
born every minute
and loving it.

Zodiac gadflies spinning
yarns of splendid
Xanadu mansions or
wanton destruction.
Vice or virtue the question
until the stars and moon
tender their best offers
sating the hopeful and hopeless
raucous in their curiosity.
Quenching the thirsts of
parched peons a fly by night
occupation spawning bucks from
nothing but a general intuition
made to fit all sizes,
large, medium or small.
Kisses on the horizon,
junk turning to treasure,
it’s all fair game as the lost parade
hunger for wishes granted by wise
gypsies who talk the talk
from dawn to dusk
even as common sense
dictates otherwise.
Charisma and confidence,
key ingredients used to pick
all your money from your pockets.

-Thermopylae-

Zephyr blessed those anxious men.
Yards ahead charged the enemy.
Xerxes watched omnipotent.
Wisdom of the traitorous will grant advantage.
Victory will be won through cowardice.
Unwavering, Sparta's finest ready in phalanx.
Tripoli's bloodletting is soon at hand.
Spartans pushing Spartans as the city states flee.
Roaring like thunder, Persia and Greece collide.
Queen of the heavens, Hera, watches intently.
Persian blood paints the Greek soil, a long empty canvas.
Omnipotent Xerxes leaps to his feet.
None can breach the Spartan lines.
Morbid is the sight of the crippled foe.
Leonidas draws his blade, spear piercing through wicker armour.
Kingdom against states, Xerxes falls to his knees.
Jeeringly, The Spartans taunt.
In utter panic, those immortals route.
Heedless, Leonidas' heroes pursue.
Gods and men alike scoff at the cowardly Persians.
Forged bronze rains from the sky.
Engorging those Spartan heroes,
Desecrating the holy Greek soil.
Cruelest are the cowardly, as brave men die
Before redemption.
Alexander's to avenge.

ZOMBIE

Zombie
Yearning
Xtatic eyes
Wounds picked by
Vultures

Unbearable
Treasure of
Silence and sky
Remembering

Quests through
Prose and lines
Of my living days

Now
Moon, my mistress
Love lingering
Kindred souls

Jests and demons
I seek you
Hear this aching heart

Gather always
Feather lined
Emerald
Dreams

Calm and still
Be there with me
Afterlife awaits you
