In fairness to the poet's who may have entered a single piece versus those who entered multiple pieces - would it be possible to base this on average score?  If you have a writer who submitted a single piece that scored 20; and another who scored 45 with three entries - for an average score of 15 - then the single entry rates stronger in my mind. .... Or ...

... Or use the highest scoring piece of each writer regardless of number of entries.

Just a thought.

I got zero points for my multilingual title and there are numerous sinister references to hanging, suicide, revenge and murder, also received zero points.

Sorry man, but my lawyer did read the fine print... and I'm a stickler when it comes to rules... just to see how far it will bend

Sorry if I missed it. I saw that your title "Las Cuentas de la Deuda de Masas" is in Spanish, but is this a multi-entendre? You didn't note that in your submission, and that's the only way it qualifies for points. Suicide is a personal choice and therefore isn't sinister save for according to certain religions and traditions, but we aren't playing that card here. So that the rules are equally accessible to all contestants regardless of belief, sinister is classified as violating someone else's free will. Murder, rape, theft, deceit, assault; any form of mal-intent toward another is sinister. Please point out anything else, so that I may fix it.[/quote]

A.R. don't worry about, man. My comment was more tongue in cheek than a gripe. Continue on as you were and wrap this epic comp up.

I do agree with LSP regarding multi line entries vs single line. Perhaps the winner could be determined by their highest single line score as opposed to an average or total. Just a suggestion, I think a little more fine print was required to specify the length of the piece or limit of entries. I submitted a poem as I assumed it was intended to be a poetry comp and not a single line prose comp.

That all said, this is a bloody great comp and a totally original idea. I'd like to see the Thunder En Tundra back, perhaps tweak a few rules and simplify the scoring to make it easier and less time consuming for your own sanity.

Thank you for your suggestions LDSP and Case.
Now that I have finished scoring all the qualifying competitors, I will run the figures to see if there is or isn't a clear winner with regard to your suggestions, however, the rules in this particular comp are very clear. The object was to flood the internet with multi-entendres, as I previously stated in the competition. Everyone had the opportunity to submit entries qualifying up to their highest value multi-entendre. In future comps, I'll like change some things to make them more collectively engaging.

Thanks again, all who participated, and all who make this site possible for such things.

Thanks for the nod, Ortiz. Good work everyone, and congrats to Uma!

Yeah, we want another one, and specify number of entries. Exactly three or seven or whatever, to keep scoring easy...

Atakti, tell the good people the truth, I sent you that entry to see if it fitted the requirements  ...and you kept it for yourself  ...bitch

You're high on sleep deprivation, lepperochan. Face it, I'm the master (of disaster).

Next round, we'll have a entendre face-off... either cutting wit or shutting it.
