LOYALTY V.1.1

LOYALTY TO COUNTRY - POEM 1

Canada, I will always be
Loyal to my chosen country
Although you have many problems
You let us in, from Europe in ruins
We found out that you were far from perfect
The French had not forgotten their defeat
And humiliation at the hands of the English
Living in Quebec meant having Language Police
Living in Ontario meant being so reserved
People did not talk to neighbours
They had not been introduced
The Scottish and the English
Were the original settlers here
Finally, in Canada we all were immigrants
The Indians and Inuit bear the scars
Of Imperialist powers with no kindness
Took over the fur trade with cultural blindness
To this day the First Nations peoples
Suffer and die, we do not heed their cry
Canada was theirs, a holy ground
Now being looked at by the USA
For it's generous supply of oil and gas
The end of a way of life
Nailed into the AmeroIndian's coffin at last
How can we live as a nation with such treachery?
The answer is simple - we who love Canada
Love all who live there
Do not call yourself a Patriot
If you do not want to share!

LOYALTY TO COMPANY - POEM 2

Loyalty to a company is an old fashioned idea

You are just a worker bee and there is only one Queen

You are expendable, we can hire hundreds like you

Keep your nose to the grindstone

Do not make waves

Maybe that thinking worked long ago

Not in my lifetime

For I have seen people fired for no reason

Than they cost the company too much

They have risen too high

Someone wants their job

So much for loyalty

Bye, bye!

LOYALTY TO FRIEND - POEM 3

I have had many friends throughout my life

Only one or two stayed with me in strife

The others vanished as I moved on

Trying to rekindle old friendships

Is a waste of time

For I have connected with all who were in my past

They too had new lives, nothing would last

Not friendship, no love, not loyalty

Unless, of course

You had a lot of money

I have been rich and I have been poor

Rich brought friends while poor did not

Cynical about loyalty, I now say this

Wait until you are in trouble

You may find one or two

Long term difficulties make people shy away

For they look at you and think you are contagious

Being a loyal friend does not act that way

But finding that friend is a miracle

Like an angel, a messenger, sent by the Lord

Cherish and honor that person

Their heart is made of gold!

Than you for making a competition.
It is the best thing for my writer's block.
I find that certain competitions will be filled in a week,
others a month....you will judge with how many entries you get.
My only advice is to have up to 3 seperate entries
on loyalty....making it YOU HAVE TO SUBMIT 3
is sometimes too much at this time of the year
.....transition from summer to fall
.....lots of changes....
But that is only my opinion.....
Finally please do not change the entire competition...
which you did once.....
Again....that is stressful....
Thanks again for the opportunity......

FRIEND
I have a friend that sticks closer than a brother
and I will pledge my allegiance to no other
He loved me before the world was created
showing me kindness when I brought Him hatred
With great drops of blood He cut loose my heavy sin chain
and should all I know fade away His love will remain
when I was broken He made me whole
and when I am weary He cradles my soul
though the path we walk is narrow and tough
just walking beside Him is enough
He’s the answer to every question I've ever asked
I've given Him my oath there’s no turning back

My Country
Oh Canada my home and native land
though you disappoint me I will loyally stand
With a glowing heart I see you rise
saddened by your compromise
While my government sits in reprimand
I sing of true patriot love in all our sons command
Oh Canada Oh Canada there was a
Day I would have died for thee
Now it seems it’s wrong to ask
God to keep our land glorious and free

Kraft's my Company

I love Kraft dinner
I boil the water
add the macaroni
and let it simmer
7 minutes not a
minute more
before you drain
the water and pour
the lovely powdered
cheese-then add
a little milk and butter
yes please yes please

You're welcome Kitty...not sure which comp. you're talking about?
On the Woodstock comp. I was travelling when it expired, and had no idea how to extend it because I don't have enough entries!

ill take a shot at it!!

loyalty to my country.

my land was taken from me
white people wouldnt let us be
they will never set us free
so now i sting like a bee

as a native american
i am a number
U-037976
nothing more to the white man

talk to me about loyalty
to a country ill show youa treaty
a piece of paper and nothing more
i am a sovern nation

loyalty
to a country that branded me
took my land, my food, my heart
there is no loyalty

Company 2

a company is like a whore
its always getting fucked
the government bents her over
while the economy fucks it frim behind

not only does it get fucked
but so does the people around it
the salve workers always on their backs
the owner always getting a "big head"

companys fuck you left and right
the middle man getting fucked 2 ways
and the top dogs have the littleest dicks but
they always get the biggest fuck in the end!

Friends 3

i was alone
not anymore
i was hated
never again
i am loved
forever more
he was there
she is now
thay all are
some here
other there
all natives
some old
some young
some dead
some suicide
some murder
some gang
some not
others just
normal people
then there is me

“Profits and Lies, Lies and Profits, the Texan Stan, and My Three Dead Dogs”
http://mooselicker.files.wordpress.com/2013/04/american-dream-over.png
(The Broken Shades of Loyalty)

<the sacrifices>

I was raised on hot apple pie and baseball,
taught the American Dream did not come for nothing,
that sacrifices had to be made to keep us free.
So, I joined the army and learned real quick about
the military-industrial ruses and tricks to make
profits, profits, profits and even more killing profits.
Payments were made in enlisted blood and collaterals.
I left them jaded, praying for things to get better
for my Brothas and Sistas wearing the combat-uniform,
still doing the dirty-work of the shadow factories
pushing lies, lies, lies and even more bullshit lies to foreigners
who try, try, try, really try to believe in Democracy,
but just don’t want it jammed down their throats.

<the brainwashings>

I left the university bright-eyed and bushy-tailed,
ready to rule the world, give 110% to serve the corporation,
hell bent on making astronomical piles of dough, ungodly
profits, profits, profits and even more killer profits at
the expense of good-natured, loyal, hard-working people,
brainwashed on the idealism of the working-class order.
They ran this scheme hiring endless streams of sheeple,
believing the lies, lies, lies and even more lies spoon
fed to them by the regal-elite.  Sadly, I witnessed them
slowly disappear, burnout, get turned-out on the streets
unemployed and disillusioned by the private-business lifestyle.
I cry and I wonder if any of them made it through
those tough financial-times.

<the personal losses>

All of my friends have peeled off, one-by-one, I don’t see them anymore.
We used to have fun, but too busy now, always on the run feeding our souls
into the military-industrial objectives and  business agendas of the rich-users.
They continue selling fool’s gold, boldly pedaling lies, lies, lies and even more lies
to make, to earn profits, profits, profits and even more profits, hidden in the offshore accounts?
Remember, all of the things we’ve already  discussed- those endless hero sacrifices and the relentless brainwashings?
Now there’s only Stan left, who lives way out in Texas, to reminisce about the good ole days,
and my three dead dogs, who used to play loyally, buried way out
in my backyard near the empty lot, which unfortunately like me,
seems all alone and broken.

Loyalty to friend

In darkness I travel with sage
to feel your heart ramble with rage
only invitations here, now I know how to treat your fear
I won't be patronising anything I'm genuine and I believe in feeder

But for you after I'm done a very big patriotic rush
will stick our armour up our sleeves
so don't forget i'm not a perfect wick
A sticky situation can be rolled so let your worries all unfold

And if ever your family or your spouse
needed help I would sell my soul to hell
As long as I greet the evil bell
He'll know I am holy kindle, stay strong, rock the bell and evil swindle WORD!

loyalty TO A COMPANY

MY SOUL goes to you
my skills come with comfort
I do not test you but invite you to a competition
its healthy and promotes good wealth

So smile, I do and be a winner
there is no point been a lazy winger
The manager is here to help
and the Boss loves a good chess game to win the block

There are code of ethics in this town
No Racism or Sexual Harassing to form a drought
Respect to every race and colour
and if I am spastic than give me a dollar!

This company has leased a German building to live in
Its got great views a heater too
And bottled water to sooth you
if not the view can die, i'm just so busy I smile all the time!

Loyalty to my Country

Well below the surf that dwells
along the reef that fish find shells
The great Barrier is one to scuba
with its tropical coconuts cocktail cook up

Don't forget Katherine
welcome to Darwin Caves where CSIRO meditates
koalas are laughing kookaburras chanting'
and the crocodile is snapping at a Brumby

Now in Sydney King of Hope
the Opera House Singer staring at Pope
I can do anything I know I can
So I went to the museum and meditated art stands

This is my home
and clean I do
even sharks don't scare my foo
Don't be misguided you have to see all the warning signs directing me and Parliament has its own channel and I live here with all the punks Hello Australia stick to your guns!

Country

I wonder how one retains nationalism
while simultaneously feeling human
how they support their own enslavement with a vote
and a campaign contribution
remembering the days of Kennedy
forget the Native Americans they robbed
and the Chinese, African, and Irish backs
they forced to build it, connect it all
die on the road to the big old dream
realizing their insomnia was hindering that vision
but the plan only works if you buy the paper
eat propaganda like you're really a player in this game of thrones
that you don't even know is on
turn in your guns so they can protect you
nobody remembers what they like to eat
never know without a menu
it's all just a deluge of create the enemy
portray them as scary and lets get our dick in their sandbox
we are the big boys
they can all fuck off

My flag is personal
and any other is offensive
forcefully sewn on to me
like I was born to defend it

Company

I suppose on some days, I'd like to dumb down
climb into the barnyard and guzzle kool-aid
like the zombie sheep, be the type that fights pro-union
or against-depending on what the boss says
but even a peek over the fence renders me disgusted
gagging on thoughts of narrow minded bigots
and their golf balls are the largest ones they own
as they're all tiny men, big like Napoleon
only in their own heads
giving their rodents their backwash
and making them damn proud to get a taste of it
while they recline outside of their own company motto
helping you fatten your 401k for tomorrow
as they insure it never really happens
but that's just my thoughts on the rat race
the well oiled machine that won't stop screeching

Friends

friends won't demand any patriotic loyalty
or Nazi style conformity
a statement from your credit agency
that you're worthy of a home to sleep in
before you drink up the energy drinks
for another double shift at the factory that's farming your
brain and shaping that of your kids
and you'll find one in a million
who'll want you as yourself
but a real friend won't settle for anything else
so, if you find one, be loyal
stick with them to the end
and be the sort of friend you know you've needed
even when you need nothing
