Twilight is
approaching
us here
on this steamy-asphalt.
It's route eighty,
been cracked
by the sun
for millennium,
I can see
ant trails,
broken rum bottles
line the roadway.
They say
it's dangerous around here,
there's not
a single building in sight,
not even any cars.
I see Sirius rising quickly,
feel a bit delirious
with
the thought
of sleeping
under the stars
in Indian Country.
I hear they still
collect scalps.
Oh, Darling
say your rosary!
Oh, Dear Lord
please,
where are those
wrecker boys?
I wanna keep our hair!

I prefer salad
throw in a few leaves of mixed lettuce
some sun dried tomato
finely chop some spanish onion
dice an avacodo or two
now here is where i like to get fancy
grate some carrot
thinly slice some cucumber
sometimes i poach an egg
lightly drizzle with italian dressing
rumor has it if you mention Alxszx thrice
