A Cold Emptiness

As the sunlight dies
In cold empty darkness
Stillness of the grave
What the ruins remember
Through time and memory
Death appears through the windblown storm
Where the flame is eternal
Awakening

Sweet Subtleties

reeds in gentle sway
speak the stories of the wind
the day whispering

Little Dragons

Two dragonflies
dip and weave
in the sultry updraft
they know how
to live in the moment
their dreams
free and windblown
a short life filled up
dancing
with the twilight sun.

Blow Wind, Blow...

It rattled windows it rattled my doors
it went whistling past in a rattling rush,
it rattled tea cups and saucers of course
carrying trees and a mulberry bush,

tin cans, newspapers, a disgruntled cat
dustbins, a slice of bread and beef dripping,
the winning home run from a baseball bat
giving buildings a whipping in passing,

but, pleasing sailors sailing their Dinghy's,
and blowing you home dear, " did you miss me? "

Gone with the Wind

I have always believed in fairies
And now there really was one
Sitting on a water lily at the pond
Windblown and disheveled her hair
Crumpled her delicate iridescent wings

Last night's storm must have thrown
The poor little fairy off course
Big Emerald eyes look at me sadly
Intending to bring her some fruits
I get on my unicorn and take flight
