Oodles Of Doodles

Hush it's secret
no one is ever to know
keep it safe in your locket
don't let it go

when callers call
on the phone, I imagine
if they're tall or small
fake or genuine

then I grab my pen
and pad pages, sometimes up to ten
then begin at the end and  doodle
with thier voice, a muse that oodles

Like thunder and lightning
out of nowhere comes
a design that might be frightening
but the image so real, it humms

Now people just phone
to be one of the crowd
try changing their tone
speaking soft and then loud

It still works every time
I get a doodle that oodles
and an image in mime
no one says toodles till thier voice is a doodle

Aww, shoot. I was hoping to get one more actual Be-Witched entry in before the deadline, but her drawing is still in progress. Oh, well ...  Congrats to everyone here who brightened the world with their talents!
