Woman Of Art
Without words, but not without silk
a dance, a sundown sweeps
dashing dragons - scales of falling leaves
low soaring in a golden autumn glow
koto plucking fingers flow
The kimono bestows her
a frame of winter frost
frail forearms chambered into sleeves
lines of brocade pine trees
their needles bare of snow
Moonshadow muses
and a choice infusion, verdant, a spring
showcased through steam
Lips pursed - petals rouge
cheeks pressed white
green pressed tea
Midsummer now
to sated men;
clutching cups of little hot springs
with their own air to breathe

*kneels gracefully in her finest summer silk kimono to begin the tea ceremony for honored guests host Celestal Sister Melia, for winner sister Miki, & runner-up sister Layla. As the ceremony continues, she begins to pour the steaming brew into each cup as she nods her head to each guest...*

I'm really honored to have been picked!
Honestly, I only uploaded this last night because I went through the trouble of writing it a week (or longer?) ago and I felt like a waste not to enter it.
Jade-Pandora, your two pieces were truly stunning!
Wallyroo, yours was beautiful and left me wanting more with that elipsis/cliffhanger.
Cloven, wonderful work of significance as usual!
Layla, yours read rather staccato, like the plucking of a koto itself, beautiful <3
Like I said, I'm seriously honored, because these were some seriously good entities!

Btw, my family all calls me Miki/Mikki, and hardly anyone else. I love that you have, because among other poets, there's a deep and unique kinship <3

I’m glad, because I’ve always thought of you as Miki.😊

Thank you very much Melia for the mention.
It was a pleasure to write for your competition and congratulations to Atomikbomb for winning with such stellar work. Also, to Jade for her beautiful poem as runner's up.
