Dear You,
                  I think you're really nice,
if you were cake, I'd cut a slice,
and then one more, I'd eat you twice,
to hell with dietary advice!
You'd drive me wild, so sweet you'd taste,
my silver spoon would flash and gleam,
I'd lick your jam, I'd love your cream,
you'd be my perfect cakey dream
and not a crumb would go to waste.

But though you'd be a lovely bake
I'm glad, of course, you're not a cake,
your girly form, please don't forsake,
this way you're best, make no mistake,
I run no risk of getting fat,
and we can dance the whole day through,
the thing that I like best to do,
and write our poems, I with you,
the Blue-Sand Girl who wears the hat.

a wink a nod in every phrase
a witty remark a secret code

if you were a calendar🗓️, I'd live your years,

if you were a shovel, I'd be your digger,
if you were a gun, I'd squeeze your trigger,

if you were an engine🚂, I'd be your track 🛤️
and carry you on, with no looking back 👀.

If you were the Queen👸, I'd want to be King🤴,
if you were a diamond💎, I'd be the ring💍,

if you were a lie, you know I'd be true,
if you were the murder🪓, I'd be your clue🩸,

and if you were a head – well, fancy that!
I'd just want to be your favourite hat👒,

but whatever you were, a bird🕊️ or a feather,
I'd really not mind – if we were together.
